Completely satisfiedWas completely satisfied. Nice and quiet, not rowdy and loud like other hotels I have stayed at on the strip. Pool was peaceful and totally relaxing. Food was very reasonably priced.
Travelers tip on local attractionsJust a short drive down to the main action on the strip if thats what you are looking for.Rating:4
Not to shabyI liked my stay with them. But I do think they are way over priced for what they have there. It was no different then a Station Casino and was twice as expensive. They wanted like 24 bucks for a six pack of beer. Crazy. But the room was nice the bed was very comfortable. But for the price I paid there, the Stratosphere gives you a over sized jetted bath tub. So that was my only quim was how expensive they thought they were there.Rating:3
Too far from the Strip no stuttle to the stripHotel staff did not inform us that no shuttle was available to the strip taxi fees very expensive. Hotel staff not very informative on airport shuttle.Rating:5
Perfect GetawayThis hotel was worth the trip. It was our first time in Vegas and everyone told us to stay directly on the strip, but im glad we didnt the strip was to busy. But when we came back to the hotel from a night of partying this hotel clamed us down and relaxed us asap. It was so much for us to do without even leaving. At the time of checkout we rebooked again to come back in January 2010.Rating:5
Hotel has great amenities for a family vacationThe hotel staff was great. The amenities available for a family vacation are nice. This hotel has a nice pool, movie theater and bowling activities available for family vacations w/out having to leave the hotel.Rating:5
Nice stayHighly recommended, kid-friendly. Easy access to freeway, valet is quick. Great prices!!Rating:5
Very, Very PleasedMost impt to us was cleanliness and value, it surpassed our criteria. Pool was huge and attractive, room and bath were beautiful and good size. A very pleasing stay at South Point.Rating:5
Las Vegas Best Kept SecretOur stay at the Southpoint was amazing! It gave a big casino experience for a small casino price. The rooms were clean and had sample size Bath n Body hygiene products. The casino was also clean and the staff was very friendly. Although it is not in walking distance of the rest of strip, it is easy to navigate back and forth. The bus also runs from Southpoint to the strip. I definately recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a hotel in Las Vegas.
Travelers tipBuy a bus pass or rent a car if staying at the Southpoint. Parking is free on the strip. Just look for self-parking garages at each hotel on the strip.Rating:4
Good HotelHotel was great, not good for people who dont rent a car because its too far from strip, and the bus and cabs take you all around Vegas before you even get close to the other hotels on the strip. Recommend save money get closer hotel on strip.
Travelers tip on nightlifeTake the free passes to the clubs it legite.Rating:5
Very niceHad to get a hotel last min.Went to expedia and found South Point.Great price and great hotel,I loved the dining.Great deal even with a big fight in town.I will return.Rating:5
Definitely a keeper for future visitsWe found South Point Casino & Resort to be a destination spot. Once we were there, we found everything we needed for a nice visit to Las Vegas. The staff was friendly. The rooms were nice. The pool area was wonderful. The restaurants were reasonable and had good food. The casino had a good choice of machines. Thank you for an enjoyable week. This hotel had a little bit of everything for all ages with the casino, pool, bowling area, movie theatres, restaurants, small shops around the edges.Rating:5
NiceNice place to stay if you want to stay away from the strip. Had a slight issue when we arrived. Asked for and called a couple of days ahead for a room with a king bed. Checked in and got 2 queens, called front desk and they took care of it. If you take a taxi down to the strip its about $25 to get from SP to the MGM. Buffett was ok, there are alot better ones and alot worse ones. Swimming pool was good.Rating:5
will go back again viva las vegas!hotel is great a vegas good time but to travel to downtown is far to site see from southpoint cabs are pricey and the bus doesnt travel after hours and theres no shuttle.so i wish if they come with better transportation in the future thank you.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your staydoing all u can do in vegas isnt a one day deal .so u should gamble and clubing at night and rest in the day.thats the way we do then change up .Rating:5
Very niceThe hotel and acomidations are very nice, all employees were courtesy at all times.Rating:5
viva las vegasgreat hotel, awesome pool, great serviceRating:4
A Nice, New, Inexpensive HotelI was pleasantly surprised with the South Point Hotel. My room was modern and comfortable and a good value for the money I paid. I especially liked the low minimum bets on roulette and black jack. The people in the sports book were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me with the wagers I placed (and won)! My only complaint was housekeeping who didnt make the bed my 1st day there. Maintenance was also a slight issue-the robe hook and the toilet paper holder broke apart during my stay. Being far down from "the strip" was great because of the large amount of construction going on in the "city centre" area. I will likely stay here again.Rating:4
better than last timecheck-in we got accomodated for pool view free of charge. that was nice. room was clean, towels were too, and bathroom. that was a plus. reserved a day at spa that was very good! plus i won so i didnt have to pay! now thats a bonus! so my stay was def. beter than last time! i will come back again!Rating:2
Ill come back againit was a nice hotel but they didnt have the room I requested for a non-smoking room with a king sized bed. Instead, I got a smoking room with two beds when I was the only one staying in it. It was a nice hotel, but the distance from the hotel to the strip is too far. The pool is small and you had to pay to use their gym.Rating:5
Nice roomsNice large rooms with comfortable beds. Great value. We will definitely stay there again.Rating:5
Lovely roomI loved the room! It was georgous! I would love to stay there again.Rating:5
Great place to stay in VegasWe travel to Las Vegas six times a year from North Carolina and I have stayed in lots of hotels there. This one is by far the best. Great service, Friendly staff, Good food,Large beautiful rooms, and easy access. Will definitely go back.Rating:4
Get your moneys worth!!My husband and I went to Vegas recently for our one year anniversary. We stayed at South Point and thought it was a lovely hotel. Clean, HUGE, and friendly staff. HOWEVER, if you really want to experience the strip, pay the extra money for one of the big name hotels. It was a 20 minute drive to and from where all the action was. Great hotel otherwise though!Rating:5
An Exciting Place to Stay! The South Point was the best. We enjoyed the room, the restaurants and playing Keno at the bar. We wanted to go to a place where we could just kick back and relax. One perk was that we were on the strip but we felt we were so far away from the rat race. It was an A+.

Weekend GetwayThe hotel was very nice and clean and all of the staff was very friendly. It has a bowling alley and theater with the lasted movie and spa. So if you just want to relax and not deal with the main strip it has everything on site. The only thing that was missing was a fridge to keep snack and beer in the room. I felt comfortable enough in the room that I enjoyed a lazy day to just sleep in and watch TV. The bed slept well the pillow were a little too soft for me. I would stay there again. All of the room have a sitting area were you do not have to be in or on the bed all the time.Rating:4
Great All Around HotelSouth point is great during football season. Their sportsbook, bloody marys and hot dogs is what keeps bringing us back. The locals, give aways, very nice rooms and bowling just adds to the fun! Its nice for off the strip, much easier than the crowds, but on Sundays it does get packed.
