Travelers tip on local attractions
Just a short drive down to the main action on the strip if thats what you are looking for. Food was very reasonably priced. Pool was peaceful and totally relaxing. Nice and quiet, not rowdy and loud like other hotels I have stayed at on the strip.Completely satisfied
Was completely satisfied.
. So that was my only quim was how expensive they thought they were there. But for the price I paid there, the Stratosphere gives you a over sized jetted bath tub. But the room was nice the bed was very comfortable. Crazy. They wanted like 24 bucks for a six pack of beer. It was no different then a Station Casino and was twice as expensive. But I do think they are way over priced for what they have there. Not to shaby
I liked my stay with them.
. Hotel staff not very informative on airport shuttle.Too far from the Strip no stuttle to the strip
Hotel staff did not inform us that no shuttle was available to the strip taxi fees very expensive.
. At the time of checkout we rebooked again to come back in January 2010. It was so much for us to do without even leaving. But when we came back to the hotel from a night of partying this hotel clamed us down and relaxed us asap. It was our first time in Vegas and everyone told us to stay directly on the strip, but im glad we didnt the strip was to busy.Perfect Getaway
This hotel was worth the trip.
.
This hotel has a nice pool, movie theater and bowling activities available for family vacations w/out having to leave the hotel. The amenities available for a family vacation are nice.Hotel has great amenities for a family vacation
The hotel staff was great.
Great prices!!. Easy access to freeway, valet is quick.Nice stay
Highly recommended, kid-friendly.
. A very pleasing stay at South Point. Pool was huge and attractive, room and bath were beautiful and good size.Very, Very Pleased
Most impt to us was cleanliness and value, it surpassed our criteria.
. Just look for self-parking garages at each hotel on the strip. Parking is free on the strip.
Travelers tip
Buy a bus pass or rent a car if staying at the Southpoint. I definately recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a hotel in Las Vegas. The bus also runs from Southpoint to the strip. Although it is not in walking distance of the rest of strip, it is easy to navigate back and forth. The casino was also clean and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and had sample size Bath n Body hygiene products.Las Vegas Best Kept Secret
Our stay at the Southpoint was amazing! It gave a big casino experience for a small casino price.

Travelers tip on nightlife
Take the free passes to the clubs it legite. Recommend save money get closer hotel on strip.Good Hotel
Hotel was great, not good for people who dont rent a car because its too far from strip, and the bus and cabs take you all around Vegas before you even get close to the other hotels on the strip.
.I will return.Great deal even with a big fight in town.Great price and great hotel,I loved the dining.Went to expedia and found South Point.Very nice
Had to get a hotel last min.
.
This hotel had a little bit of everything for all ages with the casino, pool, bowling area, movie theatres, restaurants, small shops around the edges. Thank you for an enjoyable week. The casino had a good choice of machines. The restaurants were reasonable and had good food. The pool area was wonderful. The rooms were nice. The staff was friendly. Once we were there, we found everything we needed for a nice visit to Las Vegas.Definitely a keeper for future visits
We found South Point Casino & Resort to be a destination spot.
. Swimming pool was good. Buffett was ok, there are alot better ones and alot worse ones. If you take a taxi down to the strip its about $25 to get from SP to the MGM. Checked in and got 2 queens, called front desk and they took care of it. Asked for and called a couple of days ahead for a room with a king bed. Had a slight issue when we arrived.Nice
Nice place to stay if you want to stay away from the strip.
.thats the way we do then change up .so u should gamble and clubing at night and rest in the day.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
doing all u can do in vegas isnt a one day deal .so i wish if they come with better transportation in the future thank you. Will go back again viva las vegas!
hotel is great a vegas good time but to travel to downtown is far to site see from southpoint cabs are pricey and the bus doesnt travel after hours and theres no shuttle.
.Very nice
The hotel and acomidations are very nice, all employees were courtesy at all times.
Viva las vegas
great hotel, awesome pool, great service.
. I will likely stay here again. Being far down from "the strip" was great because of the large amount of construction going on in the "city centre" area. Maintenance was also a slight issue-the robe hook and the toilet paper holder broke apart during my stay. The people in the sports book were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me with the wagers I placed (and won)! My only complaint was housekeeping who didnt make the bed my 1st day there. I especially liked the low minimum bets on roulette and black jack. My room was modern and comfortable and a good value for the money I paid.A Nice, New, Inexpensive Hotel
I was pleasantly surprised with the South Point Hotel.
beter than last time! i will come back again!. reserved a day at spa that was very good! plus i won so i didnt have to pay! now thats a bonus! so my stay was def. that was a plus. room was clean, towels were too, and bathroom. that was nice.Better than last time
check-in we got accomodated for pool view free of charge.
. The pool is small and you had to pay to use their gym. It was a nice hotel, but the distance from the hotel to the strip is too far. Instead, I got a smoking room with two beds when I was the only one staying in it.Ill come back again
it was a nice hotel but they didnt have the room I requested for a non-smoking room with a king sized bed.
. We will definitely stay there again. Great value.Nice rooms
Nice large rooms with comfortable beds.
.Lovely room
I loved the room! It was georgous! I would love to stay there again.
.Will definitely go back. Great service, Friendly staff, Good food,Large beautiful rooms, and easy access. This one is by far the best.Great place to stay in Vegas
We travel to Las Vegas six times a year from North Carolina and I have stayed in lots of hotels there.
Great hotel otherwise though!. It was a 20 minute drive to and from where all the action was. HOWEVER, if you really want to experience the strip, pay the extra money for one of the big name hotels. Clean, HUGE, and friendly staff. We stayed at South Point and thought it was a lovely hotel.Get your moneys worth!!
My husband and I went to Vegas recently for our one year anniversary.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
Pack light. It was an A+. One perk was that we were on the strip but we felt we were so far away from the rat race. We wanted to go to a place where we could just kick back and relax. We enjoyed the room, the restaurants and playing Keno at the bar.An Exciting Place to Stay!
The South Point was the best.
. All of the room have a sitting area were you do not have to be in or on the bed all the time. I would stay there again. The bed slept well the pillow were a little too soft for me. I felt comfortable enough in the room that I enjoyed a lazy day to just sleep in and watch TV. The only thing that was missing was a fridge to keep snack and beer in the room. So if you just want to relax and not deal with the main strip it has everything on site. It has a bowling alley and theater with the lasted movie and spa.Weekend Getway
The hotel was very nice and clean and all of the staff was very friendly.
. The locals, give aways, very nice rooms and bowling just adds to the fun! Its nice for off the strip, much easier than the crowds, but on Sundays it does get packed. Their sportsbook, bloody marys and hot dogs is what keeps bringing us back.Great All Around Hotel
South point is great during football season.
