. We wanted to use our laptop in our room, not by the pool or in the reception office. We asked the clerk and were just told to take our laptop nearer the office, generally maneuver to another spot. This time we were in the west end (towards the highway), and the wifi was very poor, weak reception. Our one complaint is with uneven wifi reception: The first time we stayed, we were in east end relative to the reception office, and the wifi was good. It’s convenient, parking underneath the building (keeps the car shaded), plenty of room in the two story condo-like lodging, balcony, very convenient kitchen, etc.Generally good This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel.

. There is a bar across the canal that played live music at night however it never bothered us even though we don’t stay up late. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel but for the price, location and this type of vacation it was great. The maid service is only every other day during your stay. Although overall it was fairly clean it could have been better the towels are thin and old the kitchen appliances(stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot) are older (There were some dishes, pots & silverware enough for us to cook each meal during our stay dish & dishwasher soap are provided). Our room had two floors with two bathrooms and a screened in balcony off the kitchen. This hotel was located right on the canal where all the dive boats dock. We went scuba diving, snorkling, & kyaking.Great location for the price My Husband and I went to Key Largo for the water sports.

The only complaint was that the sliding door to the balcony was very hard to open and close - what a pain Travelers tip on dining Across the street there is a great place called Snooks - Definitely go and dinner at sunset! Beautiful. Lots of room and the full kitchen and view of the canal from the balcony was nice.Great deal For the price we paid for the room, it was a great deal.

. On the plus side, great location. In my opinion, they should use some of the exorbitant cost to fix up the place. The quality of the place in general was not worth the price of the room... But it looks like something much worse. Upon investigation, it was found to be candle wax. The bedroom had a large white stain on the carpet and several smaller ones too. wastebasket in one bathroom, tissues in both bathrooms).I won’t stay there again Our room had several things missing (eg.

. We were able to eat in 2 meals a day and save a lot of money. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay The Publix close by is convenient for getting essentials. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Overall though, not bad for the price. Bed wasn’t made, no vacuuming, not even more soap for the dishwasher. Rooms are only cleaned every other day, which was okay with us, but all they did was empty the trash and change the bath linens. When we called and asked we were told we could get a disposable baking pan at Publix. Limited dishes & silverware. No bakeware, and only 1 cooking utensil. Also, we found that our "fully equipped kitchen" had 2 pots & 1 pan.Come Prepared The room is very large, but stairs to the bedroom are steep, so be aware if you have knee or back problems.

. This is an older facility that has been renovated and is a good value. It did not keep us up when we were ready to sleep. In the evening, we enjoyed the live music from the open air bar/restaurant across the canal. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screened in patio overlooking the marina and canal and watching the dive boats and others give us a marine parade every day. We liked the location a lot. The tub in the upstairs bathroom was not clean, but with a phone call in the morning, they immediately sent housekeeping and took care of it.What we liked about the Key West Inn, Key Largo We arrived late at night, after the office was closed, but our key was waiting for us.

. The snorkeling tour there was good. Travelers tip on local attractions Close to Pennecamp State Park. The pool was freezing cold and no hot tub but otherwise good. Some of the furnishings a little dated but overall clean and well kept. Loved the screened porch to sit and eat breakfast and watch the boats go by.Nice place for the price Nice hotel right on a canal.

. Full roomy kitchen, close to supermarket, not much need for costly restaraunts. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks Excellent place to stay on ecconomy trip.Wish I was a scuba diver so I would have excuse to stay longer Large immaculate rooms, could easily stay a week or month, great location, convenient to every thing, excellent value for money.

. But very nice staff was very friendly. It is a older hotel.Great hotel for the money Very clean.

Travelers tip on dining Cafe Largo-Italian Tower Pizza Fish House. Tub appeared dirty and probably needs replacing since the housekeeper said she couldn’t get it to look clean. Not impressed Hotel was roomy and in a good location.

Travelers tip on local attractions The hotel was centrally located in town and, for someone going scuba diving, access to dive shops and boats was no more that 1-2 minutes away! Great!. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff did a very good job. The room, while maybe not "modern" was very well maintained and clean.I will definitely go back to this hotel During my stay the staff was helpful and friendly.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks If you plan on going to Homestead for the race- this is a nice place to stay, close to entertainment and they actually knew there was a race! Pack a cooler full of breakfast goodies its great to sit on the porch and have brkfst overlooking the canal!.Overall though a very unique, reasonable hotel, would stay again. doubt he cleans it after every use.... HHmm. I asked to use a restroom, when I asked if they had one available, the clerk in the lobby said no-he just uses one of the empty rooms. The only thinng I had thought twice about was when we 1st got there. We love "Coconuts" for drinks and were right around the corner from there-for some late night entertainment. Nice drive.Condo? or hotel? This hotel was very nice BIG bed-2 bathrooms, beautiful view nice screened in porch overlooking the canal! Only stayed 1 night after Homestead raace, relatively close to Homestead.

...........Can’t wait to go back will go back any time.

. I would stay here again & recommend to anyone. Sharkeys is a fun Local bar across the canal from the back of the hotel. Clean. Friendly Staff. Nice location. We stayed here for the Races in Homestead. Can’t beat it for the money.

Overall I’d give this place a d-. Don’t forget to bring your ear plugs if you want to sleep in because snorkling tours meet right under your room in the morning too. We hurried to gather our things while they stood there with arms crossed waiting for us to vacate the room. Saturday morning was awoken around 9:30 with pounding on my door, ignoring the "do not disturb" by maintenance saying our air conditioning had frozen up and they needed us to move to the room next door., fridge made a lot of noise, the bar across the canal was quite lively on Friday night.k. The room was o. I got a little frustrated finding it seeing the place I was looking for didn’t exist.A quiet weekend? For a quiet weekend, I would not recommend the Suites of Key Largo, or as the sign calls it the "Key West Inn".

Travelers tip on recreational activities Scuba, snorkling all very close.I could live there It has all the amenities of home.

. Convenient location for Key Largo activities. We liked sitting on the porch and watching the dive and scuba boats going by. Second floor had bathroom and bed. Living room, bathroom, kitchen, and screened-in porch overlooking waterway on first floor.A good place to stay in Key Largo It is a 2 story room so there are stairs.

. The only thing i would do different next time booking through Expedia might be to research the whole area better.Confused It was our first trip to the keys, and though we were adjacent to the John Pennecamp State Park, it was confusing to us to have to drive or take a boat ride to get to see any of the state park.

. It was a decent motel at a reasonable price.Enjoyed our stay.

. We saved $7 on each admission for glass bottom boat and the trip lasted 30 minutes longer. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks If you are going to snorkle or take a glass bottom boat ride it is worth the trip to the state park to save a few bucks. Only a short drive to the state park. The porch off the kitchen opened up to a canal and was a pub that had live music each night that added to the experience. Just a mile away we found a publix and a big K to buy groceries. The downstairs has a queen sofa sleeper and a full kitchen with pots, pans, dish washer, fridge, oven, microwave, and coffe pot. The stairs were very steep and could be a problem for elderly. It was a townhouse style with a queen bedroom upstairs.Great Value The hotel was nice with plenty of room.

. My husband said it was the most comfortable bed he had ever slept in.A great place to stay The room was really nice and smelled fresh as they had just done remodeling.

. The hotel should have a no smoking policy. The rooms were comfortable although the one i got had a strong smoke smell.Comfortable and very convenient The hotel is very convenient to the dive operations and restaurants.
