Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
I suggest staying at the Ritz Carlon when on Maui, they know eveything and every where - what to see - what to do and they will set it all up for you as well!. We will be returning to stay there again. I recommend this hotel with all my heart. We had a wonderful time and the staff at the hotel helped to exceed our expectations. The food was Fantastic. The beds were comfortable, the service was wondrful, the people went above and beyond.Ritz Carlton on Maui
The Ritz Carlton on Maui offered us the best of the best! I have never been treated so well.
. Our favorite is Sansei, a Japanese restaurant within walking distance - dishes are delicious and yet prices are very reasonable. However a few nice restaurants are close by. On-site restaurants are expensive.A perfect place for a vacation
Its overall an excellent hotel with nice rooms, very friendly staff and a large and beautiful tropical garden.
.Vacation Stay
Great place quiet and relaxing, great view.
. The only downside is the beach is a little bit of a walk from the hotel, but we spent most of our time at the pool. The breakfast buffet is excellent. We loved the pools and pool side service staff. Our room was very nice. Very friendly and helpful staff.Great Hotel
The hotel was great.
look no further! We will be back!... If you are looking for first class. The room and grounds exuded the beauty and class one would expect from the Ritz. The staff was very personable and eager to accommodate our needs.Paradise Found!
This five diamond resort exceeded our expectations.
Better than Wailea ,so bring a lot of moolah if your planning to stay for more than a week.Nicest place ever
This hotel is like paradise, clean, quiet, immaculate green lawn and gardens and last of all the best private neach in Hawaii so far
This hotel is on the high end of Hawaii.

Travelers tip on recreational activities
For people who love to surf & turf, its the best place on the earth. I understand why this is the only 5 stars hotel in Hawaii.True 5 Stars Hotel
Very quiet, pleasant and comfortable.
If you like sleeping with the windows open I would not sleep in the rooms overlooking the golf course because every morning around 4:30 / 5:00 the gardners cut the grass with very loud machines!
Travelers tip on dining
If you like sushi Sensei is the best and is walking distance from the hotel!.Awesome location!
We loved the hotel and the location.
. We just went elsewhere that day. It is windy though and one day the surf was too rough to go into the beach. We love the kapalua area with the cook pine trees. I would definitely stay here again. I liked staying where the living room and bedroom are separate, they even have separate air conditioning controls for each room. We were on the first floor and could walk right out onto the property. It was absolutely gorgeous.Loved it!!!
We were in the residential suite at the hotel since expedia was having a sale at the time I booked.
. Nice atmosphere, and the food isnt too bad, either.
Travelers tip on nightlife
The Maui Brewing Company (a sports bar) just south of Kapalua, in a strip mall on the way to Lahaina, is a fantastic little place to stop and try some local microbrews at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend getting a Jeep for your trip, especially if you plan on getting around to do a lot of the touristy type of stuff. It is in a great proximity to Lahaina, yet isolated enough to be extremel relaxing and romantic. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay in Maui. The pool area is simply amazing and the beach, although somewhat small, is nice to get away to, also. The staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly. Pictures online dont do the rooms justice and the overall facility is extremely well kept.Paradise, indeed
The Ritz Carlton Kapalua exceeded my every expectation.
Pricey, but worth it
Travelers tip on local attractions
Fun to go to Lahaina. Its been nicely updated and still has a turn of the century charm to it.Very pleasant stay
We had stayed there before the renovations.
Thank You Ritz Carlton!. We stay in 5 star hotels regularly and this is by far one of the most friendly and enjoyable that i can remember. Away from all of the noise and crowds in Lahaina. Tall majestic pines lining the hills, private cove and perfect beach. Kapalua was like Heaven on Earth. The Island is gorgeous and the Ritz Carlton has the best part of it.Absolute Perfection! Location, Service, Restaurants and Property *****
This was our first time to Maui.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
I suggest renting a car!. Great service, beautiful hotel grounds and surroundings and friendly staff that makes you feel so welcome.Beautiful!!
I would recommend this hotel.
I cannot wait to go back! Best vaca in 10years!. Lahina is the driest place on Maui. If/when you get a misty morning drive over to Lihina for breakfast and shopping. Do not believe what you hear about the gray and misty weather in late July early Aug, it was great. If you like to snorkel there are two fantastic spots very close by. The sunsets are great from the Ritz, but for an even more breathtaking view stop over at Black Rock for a drink and watch the sunset from the beach. It is luxurious, isolated, and beautiful! It is still close to the shopping and restaurants of Lahina and Kaanapali (20min drive max to Lahina).Fantastic Location
The Ritz is in a great location.

Travelers tip on shopping
just ok.
. We ate dinner at Hula Grill at Whalers Village in Kaanapali and Honolulu Surf Company store in Kapalua which has a deli.
Travelers tip on dining
Food was expensive and selection minimal at hotel. Also liked the location--farther away from busy Kaanapali area. Service was excellent. It was our anniversary and they upgraded our room at the front desk. Will go back one day
We went on an internet special and was very happy with our stay.
. very highly recommended... beautiful beach just footsteps away... the rooms were wonderful...
The staff was very attentive...Wonderful Service.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME IN MAUI AND MY FIRST TIME EVER STAYING IN ANY RITZ CARLTON HOTEL AND THIS WAS THE BEST TRIP OF MY LIFE!!!! THE HOTEL INDOORS AND OUTDOORS WAS AMAZING!!! Quite good
Quite good.
. Also a good idea to get some beer and spirits if you are so inclined. We got things like cereal, sandwich meats, snacks, etc. Cant wait to get back!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
I believe all the rooms have a fridge, so hit the Safeway in Lahaina to save on food costs. Whenever we ventured out for things like Lahaina or the Road to Hana, we were always happy to get "back home" to Kapalua and the Ritz. And free shuttles are available for anywhere around Kapalua. As far as the beaches, there are 3 within walking distance, each with its own identity - DT Fleming (mostly resort guests, good swimming beach), Onaloa (surfing, many locals), and Kapalua Bay (great for snorkeling). The Honoloa store on the grounds is a little gem, complete with groceries, a deli, and general store. We especially loved how Kapalua is secluded on the NW area of the island, past the hustle and bustle of the more southern and central areas. The grounds are immaculate. The service, cleanliness, and friendliness are impeccable. We had never been to Maui, and Im fine with staying at the Ritz every time we go back.Unbelievable Experience
My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and couldnt have picked a better place.

Club level is the way to go if you spend a lot of time at the hotel. you know why...... A big thanks to Franklin at the bar. Our balconey had great views of the ocean and pool areas. The pool and beach bars were also great. Also did a few SPA sessions that were great. Every staff member was "wonderfull". Enjoyed the food and beverage presentations throughout the day. The pictures on expedia are "exactly" a representation of this hotel. We mainly stayed at the hotel and relaxed.Relax & Enjoy
We stayed for 8 nights in a club level room to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and 50th birthday.
.but bring your snorkel gear because at the end of the trail you will dead-end to a cove where you can find the locals cliff jumping and snorkeling.... We cannot wait to go back!
Travelers tip on recreational activities
There is a really neat hiking trail on the other side of the golf course. This Ritz property will not disappoint and is worth every penny.it is absolutely beautiful and VERY, VERY, VERY clean... If you book this hotel you will not be dissatisfied. This is really the ONLY thing we could complain about.we held once for 5 minutes, a really, really, long wait for Ritz standards).... The only complaint we had was the amount of time we had to hold the line for information (usually with the Ritz you never wait longer than a few seconds for someone to help you. The room was immaculate (we had a ocean residential suite)and the staff was so pleasant.Would definiftely go back
The hotel is exactly what the Ritz is all about.
a lot of times its lot cheaper to book on line and easier to know what you are going to do before you get there!.Paradise
everything was right at your finger tips, everyone was so courteous,it was a vacation of a life time!!!!
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
try to get an overview of everything before you go.
.Cant wait to go back!
Beautiful resort and hotel.
