Get a room overlooking the harbor!Girls Getaway Weekend and we could not have chosen a better place. The staff were amazing - (especially Andrew at the front desk) We had a room looking out at the Statue of Libery and Ellis Island - beautiful Dont miss the Sunday Breakfast Buffet - It was superb. Would definitely stay there again.Rating:5
beautifulThis is a great Hotel. Beautiful view and area. BUT... there is not much right around the hotel. The subway is a very short walk so we did use that a lot.Rating:5
The best service ever!!!I have never experienced the quality of service that the staff at the Ritz Carlton. I work in hospitality and I was very impress. The room was great, very clean and beautiful. I would like to thanks Raquel and David at concierge desk and Manny and Kevin at the bar for an unforgettable experience. I would come back. I know that the location is far for the most attractions but you can get anywhere on subway just in 15 min. Thank you again for everything!!!Rating:5
Will stay here again! We typically stay uptown close to Times Square. We wanted a less hectic area to stay this time. What a great choice we made. The view of The Statue of Liberty from our window was worth the upgrade.Rating:5
Location, Location, LocationWe were not at all disappointed by this gorgeous hotel, the lovely rooms and impeccable service, but we were delighted to discover how beautiful the residential Battery Park neighborhood is. At the very tip of Manhattan, our room overlooked the harbor and even had its own telescope which our bellman promptly adjusted to my daughters height and focused on the gleaming Statue of Liberty. There is a wonderful walking park right along the river with lovingly-maintained gardens and scenic overlooks. Subway lines from Battery Park go to all parts of the city, making attractions readily accessible. There is even a double-decker tour bus entry point nearby, as well as the Staten Island ferry terminal, a great way to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island absolutely free. The hotel restaurant was a bit pricey for us, but a nearby Starbucks got us going in the morning and off on our adventures. This hotel and its location are worth every penny.Rating:5
Better than expectedAwesome!

lovely hotelVery nice hotel, would stay again and recommend it to others. The only complaint I had was the amount of noise I could hear from the other rooms, not sure if the walls were thin or if the folks on the other side were just loud.Rating:5
Great PlaceWe stay there all the time.Rating:3
MEDIOCREThe Ritz Carlton in Battery Park was just okay, the service was average. It wasnt as modern as most and the sitting area wasnt as comfortable as most others. I guess it was okay but not the top of the line. Ive stayed in better. My bedding smelled like mildew I asked for a change and it still was a bit stinky but overall it was okay it was great to be across from Batter Park a lot of acctivities there and please go and eat at a place just down the street called Zandra or something like that it has great food and the prices are very reasonable. Just ask the Bellmen its down the street. Great sandwiches and coffee and breakfast items.
Travelers tip on nightlifeBe sure to go to the Blue Note night club if you like Jazz. Its easy to get to on the subway.Rating:5
The Ritz Name is Synonymous with Ultimate QualityEach time we stay in NY, we try to stay at another part of Manhattan, our only request is quality hotel and service. The Ritz on Battery Park is the ultimate hotel for quality room and service. I reccommend this hotel to anyone who has is used to that type of quality. Please stay on the executive floor. The daily choices of food and drink will have you rushing back to the hotel.Rating:5
Great stay at the RitzWe were really happy to have chosen the Ritz at Battery park. It was easy to get around the city from that location and it was very quiet at night.Rating:5
Excellent locationThis hotel is uniquely located for tourists. Its proximity to Ellis island ferry terminal and the ability to join city tour buses at their Battery park stop is just perfect. For this brand name hotel, I expected at least complimentary in-room coffee but was disappointed. The view of Battery park and Statue of Liberty compensates for any shortcomings Purchase your tickets to the tourist locations(Ellis Island, museums etc)online ahead of your visit. It saves time and saves your family from disappointment.Rating:5
Fringe Festival and the Ritz CharltonWe came to see Citzen Ruth as part of the Fringe Festival - great play and wonderful hotel! We were upgraded to a Harbor View room -we could see the Statue of Liberty from our room. The staff from Reception, Concierge, Bell Men (all very nice) to the housekeeper were all friendly, and helpful (but not overly attentive - which I like). Battery Park is on the lower end of Manhattan so we took taxis most places but the room, view, service, and calm atmosphere were definate advantages.
Travelers tip on local attractionsNext year go the Fringe Festival and also DeSantos restaurant (West Village) was wonderful.Rating:5
Absolute HeavenNever before have I experienced such a wonderful team of staff and service. I am definately going back, and refuse to stay anywhere else. It is easy to get anywhere, and less hectic than downtown. Eveyone was cheeful, the amenities were luxurious. Very safe access to only your floor from elevator. Rooms were perfect, very large and clean, nice view, quiet. Here is the best thing....I have never slept on such a lovely bed and bedding and the pilows were to die for, what more could you ask for!....I want to buy their pillows and sheets!
Travelers tip on nightlifeNew district called something like the Meat district, just a short walk from Grenwhich Village, lovely restaurants and cocktail bars, italian and steaks. NIce walk.Rating:4
Quality stayWe were visiting NYC for a few days even though we are naturally just a state away, and wanted to stay somewhere nice while exploring the southernmost tip of Manhattan in the Battery Park area. Hotel was very nice and not too busy. Service was good and concierge somewhat helpful when asked directions and information on certain destinations. She did volunteer her own selections, repeatedly although that was not requested, since we knew where we wanted to go, so this was somewhat annoying, but overall a great stay. I would recommend to anyone who might be willing to spend a little for a nice place to lay your head - club level was extra nice with breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day - was nice for checking email and reading the paper with the family.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayGet a Metropass if you will traveling all over NYC - love the NYC subways - easy to navigate, SO quick and convenient to get around NYC..Most times, taxis are so not worth the added expense.Rating:5
Extremely Friendly Staff, Very comfortable room.Very courteous and helpful staff, especially Andrew at the front desk. He was a great.Rating:5
The crown of downtownSuperior service door to door Valet, never had to wait for a taxi, towncar or my car door to be opened. Bellhop "JT" - made a phone call, took care of my first question Concierge was "spot on" with all suggestions, directions, and answers to my many questions during my 6 day stay. Housekeeping "Grace" was wonderful. Very personable and genuine person. All servers for club floor food presentations were excellent (Max). Hard working and friendly. Everyone we came in contact with at the Ritz-Carlton was very friendly and professional. They know how to make you feel comfortable and appreciated. Ill be back in two months. I enjoy being downtown, its laid back and relaxing. Only a subway ride to midtown action.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayWhen traveling by subway - use Rector station Excellent Chinese food - China Chalet (by NYSE 1 block up) Take the twilight water taxi cruise to statue of liberty/Ellis Island/ and Brooklyn Bridge. Real nice pictures when sun is setting.Rating:3
Great club level - so-so roomsWe stayed one night on our way to Europe. The room was on the club level so I expected larger and nicer. The Club Lounge however was very nice, with great service. The price included airfare from Houston, so overall it was a very good deal - no Harbor view though.
Travelers tip on diningYou will pay more for club level but if you have kids or dont want a big restaurant experience, there is enough in the lounge to get by all day!Rating:4
I recommend this hotel, good for weekend in NY.Nice hotel, close to metro and everywhere.Rating:4
very good, but they can be better.not frendly with kids
Travelers tip on diningtry the BARBETA RESTAURANT IS VERY VERY GOOD, AND NOT SO EXPENSIVERating:5
Manhattan ChicGreat view of the harbor. We could see the Statue of Liberty from our window. Comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff. Its Manhattan, so we didnt rent a car, just a few blocks from the subway. Nice restaurants near.Rating:5
we will be back1 of the best very family freindlyRating:5
ExcellentHotelExcellent Hotel. Extremely nice and friendly staff. Room was fabulous!!!! Everything was beyond my expectations. One of the best vacations ever knowing what a great place you would come back to at night. Highly recommend this Hotel! Whenever we go back to Manhattan we will definitely stay here. I would not even look for another Hotel. This Hotel is close to Subways that will take you anywhere. Great location.Rating:5
Great staff, great stayThe Ritz-Carlton Battery Park exceeded all my expectations. The staff was excellent. Front desk was welcoming. Concierge handled several things for us efficiently. Breakfast wait staff knew us after the first day. Ditto the bellmen. The harbor/Statue of Liberty views from eastern facing rooms are wonderful. The ferries to the statue and Ellis Island are just across the street. While this is normally an expensive first class hotel, we got a great package deal on Expedia, so look for specials.Rating:5
Best service I have EVER seen in a Hotel.Room was a bit dusty during week long stay and fruit flies were an issue,, other than that, the bed was better than home and the staff attended to every need,,, and beyond. Lovely hotel.
