Great hotel. The service and attention by staff was excellent.Rating:4
Floridas FinestSpectacular setting and views on the oceanfront. The resturants are pricey, but well worth it. The staff went above the norm to assist me with a personal issue and make my stay uncomplicated. i would strongly reccomend this Hotel for business or pleasue.Rating:4
was good for the moneycomfortable and clean housekeeping attention to detail in the room and bathroom could have been betterRating:5
BY FAR THE BEST HOTEL IN FLORIDAMy Boyfriend and I wanted to travel all over South Flordia and The Westin was the perfect location to stay at! Its literally 20min to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale (right in the Heart of South beach). The hotel its self was BEAUTIFUL! the pics on the website doesnt do it any justice! They have an awesome pool (its all lite up at night) with a "see throw bottom" into the pool below it! They have a fantasic buffe breakfast in the morning that will blow ur mind and 5 star restaurants in the hotel. Nikki Marina is a ton of fun at night we went there almost ever night! And the room was simply GREAT, the heavenly beds made u want to sleep for days. The valet was great, amesome staff and very very helpful. The look of the hotel is extremly up to date and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! This is the only Hotel i will ever stay at in Flordia 4 sure. (Please go to the Hardrock when there, its the best time ever) and try to hit up ft. lauderdales night clubs, we had sooooo much fun!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksValet it great but they have self parking right across the street that will save u sum cash!Rating:5
Hollywoods TreasureFriendly and helpful not to mention beautifulRating:2
Not impressedI waited at the front desk while the clerk spoke with another clerk and didnt even say anything to me. I asked the server during breakfast to open my open tab for me and my three sons and instead she brought us a check that we had to divide amongst three families. I have traveled with many groups before and always get my own tab. This I found to be very inconvenient and rude that she wouldnt accommodate me. The hotel is not run like a luxury hotel. I would not like to go back.Rating:4
This Place is BeautifulMy husband and I stayed here for one night for the 4th of July as a "STAYcation". Its a wonderful place for a couples get away or for a family. The room was on the 18th floor with a view of the ocean - SPECTACULAR. We had a jacuzzi tub with a sliding door that opened to the bedroom. Very sexy :-) There was also a seperate shower. Well definitely be going back.Rating:5
Nice but there wasnt anything to do there...The hotel was very nice and the service was great. The issue was the price of food and drinks were too high. They automatically add the tip in to the already high prices even if you only order 1 drink and are a party of 1. We ate lunch there the first day. Got wings, club sandwich, coke and a margarita. Spent just over $50 for the one meal. We went to one of their resturant Rivals, sat for 10 mins and finally walked out because we didnt get any service. Also, we thought we werent going to need a rental car so we didnt get one. Ended up asking the concierge where the nearest rental car office was and they offered to arrange it for us. It was across the street, we could have done it but they insisted and ends up they charged us for the service! We would recomend the Seminole Hard Rock. You dont have the ocean view but there is plenty to do there. We will drive to the ocean next time and have more options of stuff to do and places to eat. One more thing, the cabbies are rude. We took quite a few cabs before deciding to rent a car and they acted like we put them out a couple times and they talked LOUD on their cell phones the whole ride and didnt speak good english. If you want to spend lots of $$ and dont plan to go anywhere, I would recomend the Westin Diplomat.Rating:5
Great PlaceCould not ask for anything more! Top notch! If you are looking for one of the best no need to look any further! They really take care of you there
Travelers tip on diningGreat Food all around the area!Rating:4
Superior service, but paper thin wallsThis hotel provides superior service and great amenities. Amenities are unsurpassed. Nothing like ahi tuna by the pool. BUT - the walls are thin enough that at night, we were able to hear people talking in the next room. Parking is $18/night to park across the street, but if you spend the extra $5/night, you can valet it. Valet service was great.
Travelers tip on shoppingBest shopping is probably at the Aventura Mall, straight south on US1.Rating:5
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksbring extra cash for too expensive drinksRating:5
Great experience !The hotel has everything needed for a luxurious beach holiday: large, multilevel pool area, impressive lobby, comfortable beds and rooms, several good restaurants. The only problem was poor sound insulation of the rooms, and some noise from other rooms.Rating:5
Excellent HotelIt was a wonderful hotel. The only problem I had..was that you cant go out onto the beach unless there gates are open...espcially at night! But overall it was a great experienceRating:5
Beautiful HotelBeautiful hotel staff was very polite.Breakfast buffet was great, Aizia resturant was awesomeRating:4
great stay in hollywoodExcellent service, comfortable room, wonderful views from the pool and beach. Not much to do within walking distance though and the cabs seemed expensive. But we didnt mind staying at the resort for most of the trip.Rating:5
Great HotelThw westin was very luxurious, althought the spa is not directly on the premises, we still enjoyed the services and the shuttle was very prompt!!Rating:4
It was Nice but PriceyWhen my girlfriend and I went to the hotel for a romantic & luxury hotel ,the Westin Diplomat didnt fall short. The Hotel room was spotless , service was courteous and attentive and the spa was very relaxing. But watch out for the pricing of the food. The bottled water found in the hotel room cost $7 , cereal $5 for a bowl. That part was ridiculous. We stayed for three days and it almost cost us $400 in food costs. There is a 7 eleven down the block but you need a taxi to get there. I would suggest stacking up on snacks before you go. On a final note, dont go to this hotel thinking your going to enjoy water sports. Nobody does it because there so pricey. Also they had a sign that they did parasailing and they dont. All in all the hotel is mainly catered to a business audience that wishes for a luxury setting.
Travelers tip on diningBe prepared to spend a lot of money on food. There arent many options outside of the hotel and dining at any of the hotel restaurants can be pricey.Rating:5
Great Hotel, Food Needs ImprovementHotel was amazing, room had new carpet. Wish there was a place to hang all the wet swimsuits after a day at the beach or pool. Kids loved the pool, parents perferred the beach. Only downside was the food. Best meal we had at the hotel was at Splash (pool restaurant) - cheesesteak. The Cafe was so-so and Rivals was a never again. Of course, all the food was pricey. * Take the free shuttle to the Spa, there is a shopping center a few blocks away with some restaurants, shopping, and groceries. * Boardwalk area is good for trinket shopping and plenty of food choices.Rating:5
WOW!This hotel was absolutely amazing!! So beautiful, so clean, so luxurious! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already planning our next visit! The staff was efficient and friendly, the service was great, the room was clean and comfortable. We requested a refrigerator for the room (no charge) and it was delivered within a short while. The restaurants were very good, just a bit pricey. We will go back to this resort for our next getaway!Rating:5
Busy weekendThe hotel is marvelous, the pool is gorgeous, and the beachside activitys are great. I dont know if it was because it was a busy 4th of July weekend, but when I checked in they didnt tell me not to place my room card next to anything magnetic, they didnt give me the parking pass to be able to go in and out of the hotel as many times as needed and they didnt give the girls there free tot bags, I had to ask for this after I saw the information in a booklet in the room. But the Hotel perce is outstanding.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayThe Hollywood board walk is close by which is really nice and has restaurants.Rating:5
Best HotelGreat place to stayRating:5
Beautiful! Would highly recommend to my friends & family!!!This hotel was such a nice place to stay! The pool area was big and the beach was right off the pool - just steps to the sand!! The beds in this hotel are so comfy!! Very pleased overall!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksIf you like to relax on the beach this is a perfect place to do just that. There is a walmart up the street and we bought an ice chest and some drinks and were able to take the cooler down to the beach!Rating:4
great hotel / restaurant and bar staff could be more attentivethe down fall of this great hotel is the restaurant and bar staff...need to be more attentive and pleasantRating:5
Best Hotel I Have Ever Stayed InThis is one of those hotels that I think everyone should stay in at least once. Yes, there is a charge to park your car, however it is very convenient. The hotel itself is amazing. The beach is amazing. I was struck by the phrase "this is how the other half live". Be sure to get an ocean side room and enjoy paradise.Rating:5
Very SatisfiedBeautiful hotel. Gorgeous pools and beach. Lots of chairs at the pool. Hotel staff very helpful. We had a wonderful time.
Travelers tipI would highly recommend having a car. There were very few stores or restaurants in walking distance, and the restaurants at the hotel are outrageously expensive. The concierge gave us great recommendations for dinner restaurants within 5 miles, but you definitely needed a car.
