Highly recomend hotel skip breakfast buffet absolutely horrendas
very clean great location room was beutiful breakfast buffet was very lacking for a hotel of this caliber would highly discourage from eating there.
. It was far from the best hotel I have stayed in, but it was clean and accomdating. Not a fan of Providence, but Best Hotel in the area
If you are going to Providence then I recommend you stay here.
Westin RI
sort of expensive for just a room Parking $23 per noc Service SLOw AT RESTYRANT FOR BREAKFAST.
. But someone in Westin Central needs to get their wrist slapped for poor planning.) Ive been to this hotel on multiple previous occasions, so I know this is not typical. There were no cribs available (although we had requested one in advance. Our room (next to the elevator) had a toilet that wouldnt stop running, a completely dysfunctional thermostat (kept resetting itself to 80 degrees), and (admittedly least important), a coffee pot that wouldnt make coffee. Trying to get breakfast, people had to bus their own tables. Wait for valet to retrieve cars on Sunday morning was over 30 minutes. There were ridiculous waits for check-in, restaurants, room service. But the Westin seemed totally unprepared. Every hotel in the city was booked months in advance. They could have seen it coming
It was graduation for multiple universities in Providence that weekend.
. It was a welcome hideout on a night where temperatures were in the single digits.Wonderfully Comfortable
The room had every pampered stay gizmo you could imagine.
. The cupcakes are delicious.
Go to Nancys Fancies bakery on Atwell Avenue. Overall, our stay was dissapointing because the other time we stayed it was so relaxing. The management did not seem to care that our stay was awful. The next day we could not use the pool because it had too much chlorine in it because of the crowd using it the day before. The heater rattled also and was set too high and could not be lowered. They gave us a cot that was uncomfortable for two of us to use. Second, there was a cheerleading competition so the pool was very crowded, the whirlpool was dirty, and we got one king sized bed for four people.Manager was unconcerned
First of all, there was a long line for check in.
So- so restaurant service. Good breakfast buffet. Pleasant staff. No shampoo or other things in restroom. Room was way back in a convoluted hallway.Comfortable Stay
Swank Lobby.
. Also, McFaddens downtown is a great bar to watch the game and meet locals. Very friendly workers there too. Great place to sit back, have a nice cigar and watch the game. Other than that gaffe in the beginning, everything else was great!
Travelers tip for business travelers
There is a cigar bar (Cigar Masters) attached to the hotel with its own entrance outside. They said they would come get us when our room was ready but really we had to go back down to find out.BUSY but accomodating!!!
We checked in around 7 pm and our rooms werent ready, the lobby area was packed but they were very accomodating and gave us an $80 comp to the restaurant/bar upstairs.
. Even with the charge for parking overnight, it was still priced right.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
Look for a special price deal through Expedia. Excellent service began with the valet and continued throughout our stay. Skyway to the Providence Place Mall from the Westin itself. We took a cab to the restaurant but walked back once I saw where we were. The location is in the heart of Providence so you can walk to restaurants, shops, cultural sites. Luxury hotel for a great price.Wow, exceptional!
We booked this hotel during a special price deal through Expedia.

Travelers tip on shopping
Near downtown connected to mall & many restaurants.Look forward to staying here again on future visits to Providence. In addition the pedestrian bridge to the mall was a bonus as well. The rooms were nice & I especially liked the heavenly bed & the dual shower in the bathroom.Hotel staff were very helpful & informative.Loved the Westin!
This was my 1st time staying at the Westin hotel & I really enjoyed my weekend there.
.that much they do have going for them!! WAY TO GO STAFF!!
Travelers tip on local attractions
The hotel is located so close to everything... The front desk staff was FANTASTIC. As usual, the heavenly bed was great if you can get past the smells and damp stained carpet. This particular hotel was a mess and smelled like wet dog almost, dont even look down for the stains, you wont want to see them.
Generally Westins are visually appealing and clean...A Westin Not Really ike The Others.
.loved the skybridge to the mall and the local restaurants... Location was wonderful.service was excellent and room was great...Very Nice
Very nice.
.
restaurant service was just plain bad.i.Providence, r.
.. should have spent the extra $30 and stayed at the Marriott or Biltmore.. would not go out of my way. overall not impressed but I guess it was the cheaper hotel in the area I needed. the bath tub had a yellow stain large spot in it. clean but stained. The rug was stained in many places. probably fell off the maids cart..Not impressed first Westin not impressed with
As I enter the room there was a dirty hand towel on the floor.
. There is plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near the hotel within walking distance, and it has a walk way directly into the Providence Place Mall! Enjoy. Try out the hotel and the eatery for a wonderful time. We ate at Mediterreano Caffe and absolutely loved it. Loved it!
Travelers tip on dining
Federal Hill is only a ten minute walk away with fantastic dining. You will be hard pressed to get better service, location, and amenities for the price. We enjoyed everything about the hotel and its surroundings. The bed and bath are worth the price of admission alone.Enough Said!
The hotel staff was very professional and attentive, everyone from the bell hop to the front desk personnel...Heavenly Bed and Bath.
. Staff was helpful, in-room dining very good. Surprising for a hotel of this caliber & with all the limitations for carry-on luggage. No shower cap or other personal ammenities beyond shampoo and lotion.Beautiful hotel, well situated in the center of town
The rooms are nicely appointed.
If you plan to stay, request a room that does not face Kennedy Plaza!!!!. Also, only the lowest of the two double shower heads worked, meaning that we, both pretty tall adults, had to bend over to get to the water while showering. At least the beds were extremely comfortable. We tried to use our rooms A/C unit to drown out the noise, but there was no way to keep it running constantly so we, including our toddler, just had sleepless nights. I guess it was because we faced Kennedy Plaza and the street noise resonated between the Westin and another tall building opposite it. We were on the 9th floor and could not believe how noisy it was.Great hotel but street noise was terrible
This is a beautiful, well-appointed hotel, but we encountered terrible street noise that troubled us each of the two nights we stayed there.

College visit. Next to a shopping mall. Clean and spacious room.
Not a historical hotel, but a good city hotel.Room is clean and big enough.
Great location
very satisfied.
. Id stay there again, but wouldnt be overly excited about it. However, one of the closet doors was hanging off of its hinges and the bed was not the normal "heavenly bed" and felt just like a regular hotel bed.Not Usual Westin Standards
Our room was nicely decorated and clean.

Connected to the Providence mall - with excellent shopping and dining without going outside. Westins are always nice, this one is particularly so. Nice staff, clean and well cared for rooms with all the necessary amenities.Up to the standards of the Westin - excellent
This hotel is relatively new - and well appointed.
.Good for college visits
excellent location adjacent to Providence Place mall and many restaurants within walking distance; reasonable walk to RISD/Brown and train station.
. Great access to the mall and restraunts. Pristine rooms. Extremely comfortable beds.Great!!
Beautiful hotel.
. Providence is a very nice city. It was made cozy yes, but its just a personal experience. Maybe it had to do with the winter season, but I didnt get the feeling that it was a happy cozy place to stay. It was fun to be in the pool and hot tub - but it just felt like elements were missing all-around.Good hotel but atmosphere not so much
The hotel is fine - in fact its better than fine - I mean it is the Westin after all.
