Great for price. No single ladies should stay here!It was fine, but there are TONS of hotels in Pensacola. If youre staying with someone else its okay but even my taxi driver asked if I was staying alone. Smoking room because of availability and it was kinda gross, but overall it was fine. Apparently its a bad part of town. I wasnt going to walk around anyways and if nobody said anything and I didnt read the other reviews I wouldnt have noticed...Rating:1
Very DisappointedThe room wasnt dusted which lead me to believe I was staying in a dirty room. The carpet was nasty looking & nasty. There were burn marks everywhere. The bed was not comfortable for me at all. I thought there was a pool but, there wasnt.
Travelers tipUntil they renovate by pulling up that nasty looking carpet, paint, properly clean the rooms (ie, dust; polish), & change the mattresses, bring disposable bedding, slippers or flip flops, toilet seat covers & youll be just fine. Great location for food & entertainment.Rating:2
DirtyThe blanket on the bed was so dirty that it gave me the creeps. Dirt, dried food spills, and who knows what else were all over it, and I had to wonder if they ever wash their blankets. The sheets were clean...but the cleanliness of the rest of the room was just so-so. Ick!Rating:1
Will not returnWe had stayed at the LaQuinta in in Pensacola a week earlier and before returning used Expedias ratings to make a choice. The star rating was the same, but the quality of the Travel Lodge was much lower than the La Quinta. We were very disappointed. The Travel Lodge rooms smelled of stale smoke, mainly due to the cleaning and maintenance workers smoking non-stop outside the back door and the smoke smell being sucked into the air conditioning units.Rating:1
very disappointedI booked through expedia for what I thought was a good deal only to be disappointed. The building reaked of a foul odor. The continental breakfast consist of cereal only. This was a very low budget operation.Rating:4
great get awaymy family and I decided to go to pensacola,fl for a few days.when we reached pentsacola the hotel was very easy to find. The staff was very friendly.the beach was a short 20 min drive and for the price we could not beat it.Rating:3
It was so-soThe hotel was fairly clean. There was a strange smell to the room and the hallways. It is a close drive to Pensacola Beach and had lots of restaurants around. The staff was pretty friendly. The breakfast was nothing except muffins and cereal. I would spend a little extra for a nicer hotel next time.Rating:3
good for a night stayMy family and I spent two different days in this hotel. The first room we had a little trouble with the wireless internet, but this was quickly resolved. The second time was a lot better. No problems, Wal-mart within a few minutes from hotel and Pensacola Beach was within about 10 min. Staff was very nice.Rating:5
Great place to stay for the money!!It was a nice place to stay. The only disappointment i had was we couldnt check in to 3pm that day.Kind of a bummer when you been on the road for 7 hrs.The room was nice and clean. Also, lost money in the dryer,it would not dry clothes, think they need a new one!!
Travelers tip on recreational activitiesSams fun city is such a rip off.We bought bracelets to ride and do everything and then this was not the case!! Was not allowed to drive go carts said we needed a ticket, but we had the bracelets and paid for it all.The water park was not running and several other rides were not running as well.We did not get our moneys worth.Big Disappointment:(Rating:5
It was great for the price.Im not an easy man to please when Im paying for something. I must say that this hotel exceeded my expectations for what I paid. We were only about 20 minutes from the white sands of the Gulf. The pool was also very clean. I will come back.Rating:2
Just didnt feel secureThe front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. It not for them I would have gone elsewhere, simply because I didnt feel secure. The hotel was small and kind of squished in the middle of other businesses. I was particulary unnerved by the isolated back-door entrance. The inside was old, barren and unclean. The room was very small, but clean enough, though bare. Still, I just couldnt rest due to feelings of uncertainty. There were no problems, however. I would not stay again. I wouldnt stay if traveling with children or if I were a woman alone. There were no problems, but it just didnt feel secure.Rating:3
TravelodgeRooms are small, clean and the furniture old, needed new mattresses. The front desk staff was very friendly with excellant recommendations of local eateries. Housekeeping was bit lazy.Rating:4
Will use again.Very comfortable motel. Bed was comfy.Rating:4
Conveniently locatedThis Travelodge Inn is conveniently located near I-10 and easy to find. The staff was helpfull and efficient during check in en check out.
Travelers tip on local attractionsI visited the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola and it was only a 15 minute drive from the hotel.Rating:1
Never ever go hereThis hotel was so gross. When I arrived the people were rude and didnt even direct me to my room. Once I found my room on my own and got it open, it smelled so bad, like mildew. There was gum stuck on the floor and chair. My room had 2 beds, one of the beds had crumbs in it, which hinted to me that the sheets were not changed, the other bed has burn holes all over the sheets and pillows also. The toilet had a problem and wouldnt stop running. The overall appearance was gross. The microwave in the room had old food splatters on it and a collection of dead bugs were on the window sill. It was so bad that it was hard For me to sleep, I felt so gross. I will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone. Do not go here!Rating:5
Great Hotel for the PriceAdequate accomodations. All basic needs met. Savings afforded more leisure activities.Rating:5
Pleasantly SurprisedMy wife was afraid to see what the place would be like since the price was so low. We were both pleasantly surprised. Its no 5-star hotel but a very good value and the staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The rooms were nothing spectacular but they were clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Would definitely recommend for those on a budget.Rating:4
Good bang for your buck! This is not a new hotel but the service and room was more than adequate for us. Would stay here again. This is very close to everything we needed to visit with our son at Pensacola Naval Base. It is within minutes of beaches, shopping, dining, etc. Yes you do have to drive everywhere but where wouldnt you unless you stayed right on the beach, base, etc.Rating:5
Great place to stayThe room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.Rating:2
Not so cleanThe hotel was outdated. If your looking for something new and sheek this is not the place. The bedding on the bed is old and the carpet. Parking is limited. Also we found a roach in our room.Overall you would only want to stay for one night if you have to.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksThe room is ok if your saving money on a trip. Make sure you bring cleaning supplies, I had to clean the tub for my small children and it was dirty.Rating:4
Good Hotel! The hotel was a nice clean place and the staff was very friendly and helpful.Rating:4
A sufficient place to stay for the priceThe hotel was OK. I did like the feature of a safe in the rooms to lock up personal belongings. I used it for my laptop. The room was fine but in the bathroom I kept having to jiggle the handle to keep the toilet from running and the door of the bathroom didnt close completely. The complimentary breakfast only included of muffins that seemed to be from a Little Debbie box. Overall it was a sufficient place to rest each during my vacation.Rating:2
Would not stay there againThis motel was great to save money, but that was the best feature. You could tell it was old and seemed to be on the edge of a bad area of town. It was right off of the interstate so we didnt feel unsafe, but down the street didnt look too good. The mattresses were very soft and we woke with a back ache. The bathroom smell faintly of urine and the room needed painting. The clerks were very nice, but I wouldnt stay there again or recommend it to others.Rating:3
Not ImpressedThe neighborhood behind the hotel was bad which made coming in late kind of scary because of the unsavory looking characters roaming the parkinglot. There were air conditioners leaking water on our heads over the doors we had to enter in. We had very heavy, large suitcases, and children, and there were no elevators to get to the second floor. The rooms were so small there wasnt much room to move around. Also, we asked several times for extra pillows and towels and never received them.
Travelers tip on nightlifeSeville Quarter in downtown Pensacola was alot of fun! There are 7 bars in one building with something different in each one. One was a piano room, one a karaoke bar, one had pool tables, one had a live rock band, one was a cigar lounge, and two were dance floors. Thursday is there busiest night, being college night, and admission is only $5 to get into all 7 bars. Highly recommend!Rating:2
DisappointedThe window had black mold around it, and the caulking in the bathroom did not cover the mold underneath. The bathroom door scraped when you closed it so nighly trips when everyone was asleep disturbed others. There was no way to regulate the temperature of the AC since the knob was broken off the unit. It was nice having a refridgerator in the room, even though the freezer was unusable due to excessive frost buildup. The front desk people were unfriendly but was able to provide directions to closeby locations. The maintenance man was responsive to our request to fix the bathroom door, and did use pliars to adjust the air temperature for the AC unit. The contential breakfast was 1/2 muffin cup size with no lables and a small size unlabled honey buns. Juice was good. I would not stay there again nor recommend this motel.
