    scalding hot water

everything was great for the first 5 minutes until i went to brush my teeth and there was no cold water!! the cold was hot and the hot was scalding...i even tried to adjust the valves under the sink. the next morning my shower started warm and then kept progressively getting hotter, i could barely rinse my head (with a washcloth). i told the desk the next morning but didn’t get much of a reaction, not even an apology.

    Just Fine

While not the newest or fanciest place, it was clean, nice, and the service was excellent. Nice people!

    not impressed

Room was shabby and in need of updating. The exposed plumbing under the sink was ductaped. The shower head was too low to stand under without ducking. The water took too long to heat up and then it was lukewarm. The sofabed mattress spring was broken and mattress lumpy.

    moldy shower

The grout in our shower had mold and mildew in it with soap scum up the walls about 6 inches. The first day we were there I asked for special attention to be paid to the shower when the maid service was performed. When we arrived back that night, there was no improvement. I had 4 night reservation (2 rooms) and would have checked out, but it was already paid for and I was told I was not able to get a refund. We eventually left on the third day because we were leaving to shower at my son’s apartment anyway. We stayed elsewhere that last night. The "breakfast" was cereal, bagels and pre-packaged sweet rolls with coffee, tea or boxed juice. Not exactly what I was expecting - a little disappointing. Although the front desk personnel were friendly, the request for the cleaning of the shower went ignored.

good for the money; quiet; courteous staff

Room was supposed to be 2 queen beds and it was 1 queen and 1 double. Each night the hot water heater blew out and we had to call to have it re-lit. Other than those two, our stay was fine. We really just needed a place to sleep and shower (hence the hot water issue).

    Large room but run down

Limited continental breakfast. Machines in workout room broken. Airconditioning had difficulty cooling the whole room. The pool is small, in the parking lot and next to a busy road. The room had 3 queen beds, a hide a bed and a small refrig which made it roomy enough for our party.

    Clean, good quality lodging

Basic lodging, but clean and modern. The friendly staff was quick to bring me the extra amenities I requested (lotion and another pillow). Not much room for parking; certainly not meant for anything larger than a family vehicle (i.e., no trailers). Great location made getting around easy. Free [all-carb] breakfast provided in office, but no seating (take-out only). We had to drive to find another breakfast eatery. Lots of restaurants in town. For our purposes, this lodging worked out great. We’d definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Provo.

    Travelers tip on dining

Check out Asuka for Japanese dining. We enjoyed eating in the optional hibachi grill seating, where the chef entertained us as he prepared our meal. Delicious food for reasonable cost. We spent less than $60 (including tip) for three people (no alcohol). Located in the shopping center at University Parkway and West 2230 North in Provo.

    Not the Best

The hotel is older and run down. The rooms are small with too much furniture. On a good note, the hotel personnel were very friendly and willing to help.

Only out of desperation would I stay here again

Smells odd, walls need to be painted, old dirty carpet; basically needs to be remodeled. Bathroom door clawed by some animal. Feels like a trailer park. Parking is sparse.

    Pretty Good.

The hotel staff members were young and studying for classes (I assume). Therefore, they acted a little "put out" when I came to them with questions. However, they DID know the answers and were eventually helpful. The place itself was a little run-down, but clean, comfortable, and safe. The cleaning staff members were wonderful and helpful. We had a second-floor room with a view of the Provo Tabernacle, the Courthouse, and the mountains, so be sure to ask for a room on the side by the church. Also, having a second story room made it possible for us to open the bathroom and bedroom windows and get a breeze -- especially at night. Overall, it was a good experience.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay

It is very hard to make left-hand turns -- even on the busiest roads. Since there are few left-hand arrow signals, making a turn is almost impossible. Plan for that in advance -- especially if you’re on a tight schedule. Also, Sundance is just 20 minutes away and that area is beautiful. Salt Lake City and Temple Square are just 50 miles north and easily accessed. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in Provo on the two main roadways.

    Great for low budget

The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were generally clean, well as clean as they could get. Most of the lights in the room didn’t work, and the sofa bed was broken. We had to switch rooms because the first one we had the shower would fill up and wouldnt drain. But otherwise the pool area was nice, and the beds werent to bad. I would go back because of the low rates.

Go to Seven Peaks, the kids had a lot of fun and so did we on a hot day!

    Don’t come in Late!!

My husband and I got into town somewhat late, 11:30 pm. We were very tired and I went to check in at the front desk, and the front door was locked. The sign said to ring door bell and someone would come to give you your key. After ten minutes in the cold, we finally went to another hotel.
