... I would reccommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, nice, comfortable room, and friendly staff at a competitive price.Wonderful stay yet AGAIN
This was my 3rd visit to University Inn this year (2009) and every single time was the same - simply amazing.
geeeee...... I went there and it was closed, so I shopped and spent too much money instead.

Little Thai restaurant, a few blocks away from the hotel on 42nd street, is so good and very inexpensive! Seattle Art museum is closed on Monday. Free internet access and complimentary breakfast were great options. It was easy to arrange an appointment and the driver was very kind. I had my car but it was nice to ride on a shuttle van to and back from Seattle. That was very nice since my daughter and I were both tired. The hotel staff upgraded our room to 2 queen beds instead of 1 queen.Nice small hotel
I stayed @ University inn for one night for the UW orientation.
A taxi from the hotel to the cruise port was only $20! We saved tons not renting a car! We would highly recommend this hotel!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
Use the shuttle and or take a taxi!. The free shuttle was really helpful to get us downtown! We also walked to the campus which was beautiful! We were really happy with our choice.Awesome Hotel
My husband and I stayed at the Univeristy Inn for a few days before our cruise.
.Convenient and Neat
If you visit UW campus, this is the best choice.
.) Allow plenty of time, though.75 per person.

We did ride the metro buses from Sea-Tac to our hotel in the university district ($1. Elevator to fourth floor was slow. Hotel guests do tend to mingle in the lobby, which exhibits a nice clientele, contributing to the congenial ambiance.) The complimentary breakfast & afternoon snacks are nice, but seating is a bit limited. (The shuttle is Shuttle Express @ $19 per person. We had to call down to the desk and it was sent up, but by then it was time for us to meet our shuttle to the airport. It wasnt. Also, we ordered a breakfast-to-go a day in advance, to be sent to our room. Two minuses: our "atomic clock" was set to the wrong time and required the hotel engineer and his time on the internet to re-set it, but eventually it was fixed. Tip: if you want to use the free shuttle, sign up well in advance as it tends to fill up quickly. Best features of the hotel were (1)the concierge service at the desk--clerks were very helpful about sights to see and how to navigate the city and (2) its location in the midst of the university district. As far as the room and the bed, we expected more luxury for the price than we got.
Our room was a little small, but generally adequate.Good location, room adequate.
... It has great Korean food and the kim chee is to die for. We had a great time in Seattle and would stay at there again!

Try the Tofu Soup restaurant about two blocks away from the University Inn. They also had a great breakfast bar with yummy waffles. The staff was friendly and helpful. We thought about renting a car but it wasnt necessary because they have a shuttle service that takes you to the North UW campus, UW Hospital, downtown Seattle, and the Space Needle. We are going back to the University Inn!
We stayed at the University Inn because it was walking distance from the University of Washington (UW).
. Plus, the staff is absolutely helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast bar, wireless internet, complimentary shuttle service to downtown attractions and several other locations.Definitely recommended!
This is a great hotel for all travelers.
Now that I know how Seattle is laid out, I think Ill try and get a place a little closer to the action next time, but this place met our needs and the staff was very friendly!. They also have a free shuttle that will take you into downtown, which is necessary since Seattle is not a walkable city by any stretch ofthe imagination. They serve breakfast in the morning (with make your own waffles!) and snack in the afternoon (which is actually a great little pick me up).Good place to stay in Seattle
University Inn was a great place to stay, and definitely meets the needs for a basic traveler.
Will stay there again
Provides good breakfast and after snacks.
excellent service, great location and plenty of parking!!.Best place when visiting UW.
. The staff is very friendly helping to make everyones stay in Seattle comfortable & enjoyable. The Deluxe rooms are spacious and clean.A Winner!
A good, well located place to stay in Seattle.
I tend to go where the wireless internet and parking are free like at University Inn.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
When you book a trip online, be sure to see if wireless internet and parking fees apply - especailly in metropolitan areas. It is conviniently located, nice ammenities, great staff, and consistently delivers a wonderful experience. I stay at University Inn EVERYTIME.Great Value
My business travels take me to Seattle 3 times a year.
. Also almost all the places have free WiFi. Very eclectic shops and some great restaurants. Had a great cheese and fruit "snack hour" every afternoon - a nice treat after walking around all day!
Travelers tip on local attractions
Check out University Way, the main street through the district. Also a shuttle service to downtown Seattle. The staff was great with giving tips and directions and had brochures readily available.Convenient to all University District
We were close to everything in the University District and to the UW too.
.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
Take full advantage of the hotels free shuttle service to local attractions. Overall, though I would stay at the location again. We are tea drinkers and the taste of coffee came through the machine. The coffee pot was not good though. We liked the in room refrigerator and microwave. The location allowed a lot of flexibility for tourist activities, good access to the freeway and seemed to be in a "safe" area. The free shuttle service to local areas was fast and reliable. The evening menu was not very interesting however, but adequate. The morning hot complementary breakfast was great.I would return
We had a wonderful experience with this hotel.
. Cafe that shares the block/parking lot is a bonus - good food, great service.Good value
Good location, easy to get to Seattle sights & neighborhoods.

Travelers tip on dining
Your just 4 blocks from the University so lots of cheap eatting places. They have a shuttle for shopping, some hospital and sightseeing locations.Best of all Seattle
Great hotel if you need to be near the UW or Downtown.
on Lake City Way!);. The cost was very reasonable! So save your money for all the other things you want to do in Seattle and stay here!
Travelers tip on local attractions
Enjoyed the ferry to Bainbridge Island where we had breakfast at a great local restaurant then drove around the Island; Pike Place Market is a must; Gas Works Park (North end of Lake Union) perfect vantage point for great pictures of downtown; didnt go to the Space Needle this time but if you havent, you should; Lots of terrific small restaurants & coffee shops (our fav - The Sugar Shack Baking Co. Theres easy access to I-5 as well as a straight shot downtown from the street its on (Roosevelt) which becomes West Lake Drive. There is a Cafe just a few steps to the South. I was impressed that there was a sealed alcohol wipe resting on the remote control! Although they dont have a restaurant, coffee and tea are always available in the lobby and they provide a very nice breakfast bar (make fresh waffles, toast, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc) as well as an afternoon setup (cheese, crackers, fruit and more). Its only four stories, clean and quiet.Convenient Location in Seattle
We really liked it and have already recommended it to a friend.
. Great tacos, salsa bar, iced drinks and atmosphere.

Walk south toward the UW Medical Center to the Agua Verde Paddle Club and Cafe on Boat Street. I will stay here again for sure. 5-minute walk to the UW campus and the full-bloom cherry blossoms during my stay. Overall, excellent value for service, location, and comfort. One complaint was a somewhat weak wifi. I loved sitting at the counter seat in the early AM watching the traffic on Roosevelt during breakfast. Free laundry and afternoon snacks were nice. Young gentlemen at the front desk were always smiling and greeted me when I came home each day. My room was on the small side but comfy and clean.Great value and service
In Seattle for a week on business, this was the perfect location to get around the city.
Best stay for visit to UW!
Great.
. Highly recommended. Close to U Dub. Nice breakfast restaurant next door.Very comfortable
Great stay.
. We did stay in the more expensive "premium" room of which there is limited availability.5-star" level such as a refrigerator, iron and ironing board, room safe, video gaming system, etc. The staff was courteous and helpful, the room clean, spacious and pleasantly decorated, and many nice touches were included beyond the "2. We chose it for its convenient location but would happily stay again.5-star hotel on Expedia, it was much nicer than we expected.Very pleasantly surprised
Although The University Inn was listed as a 2.
.A best buy
Reasonable rates, friendly and helpful staff, a generous breakfast buffet in the lobby, free parking.
Definitely a new favorite!. The hotel was quiet and comfortable.Restful stay
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
. Northlake "Original" recipe or our new "Zesty" sauce. Your choice of pizza sauce. All made with lots of pure mozzarella cheese, seasoned with oregano and real Romano cheese.5 pounds and may feed three, and a large pie weighs over 6 pounds and serves four to six people.5 pounds and easily feeds two people, a medium pie weighs nearly 4. A small pie weighs over 2. Thier pizzas are like no other.
Travelers tip on dining
Try Northlake Tavern and Pizza House. I was impressed and will return to University Inn again. Their complimentary breakfast included fresh waffle batter and a waffle iron that was self serve. The price was fair, the amenities were great, and the staff was wonderful.
I had a nice experience at the University Inn and would reccomend it...Will stay here again for sure.
Shuttle Express has deals with local hotels (including University Inn), so youll save a lot of $$ -- and you can make reservations online!.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
Use the Shuttle Express service from the airport instead of a taxi. Highly recommended.and the price was great... The staff was helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was yummy.Excellent value
I stayed here while interviewing at the university, and I couldnt have been happier with my hotel experience.
