    Way overpriced

Rooms are tiny and poorly configured for the price. The food and drinks are mediocre and way overpriced. Have stayed in better hotels in the downtown dallas area for half the price. Nice pool but the bar service there is terrible.

    Stay somewhere else...

While the W Dallas is hip and trendy (as all of them are), the rooms are poor and overpriced. The rooms (at least the "wonderful" and "spectacular" versions) are small and offer no privacy whatsoever. The door immediately opens into the bathroom where you have an open shower (no tub), half encased by glass. Essentially, if anyone is showering or dressing, you can’t open your door. The bathroom itself is only seperated from the main room by a curtain, so you can see and hear everything that goes on in it. The first room we were given had a broken air conditioner, broken chair, and heavily stained sheets. The second had a heavily stained carpet, broken door, and a sheet with bright red blood all over it. Disgusting. Room service is mediocre and charged us for things we did not order twice, and the pool is packed all day and closes way too early. The guest services staff were all very polite, but could not make up for the huge disappointments elsewhere...

    Not impressed

The room was nice but for the price I’d rather stay some where else where the rooms are larger. I couldn’t believe how small the rooms were.

The W at Dallas: Turn up the lights and see the charges

I was impressed at first entry-the green glowing lights outside and inside upon entry, we arrived at evening. Yet my main problem was the billing part. I was told I had a "wish" for a coffee maker and that my coffee would be complimentary, yet it was $9.00 for a small pot that tasted terrible. I was billed twice for my stay resulting in several hundreds of dollars, refunded- but yet inconvenienced. There are hidden traps, like fully loaded bar and snack tray, which appear complimentary, but if consumed result in inapparent charges. I am not the consummate traveler by far. Can’t afford to travel at all frequently, I have to wait years for a trip, yet with all the reported luxury to be had there, I found myself dialing "O" several times a day for things that, for the price, should have already been in place.

    An excellent W

W hotels are fairly predictable (which is why I stay there if I can), and the Dallas Victory property is no different. It’s a beautiful, immaculate place, with attentive though slightly aloof service.

    Romantic Getaway

I have stayed in the Westin located in TIMES SQUARE but now that I have been to the W, I don’t want to stay anywhere else. I liked the fact you have to use your room keys to actually use the elevator. So that not just anybody can walk in and gain access. The room was fabulous. I liked walking into the bathroom, especially when we were coming from the pool. Which, by the way, is exactly the way we saw it from the pictures. I thought the shower/shower head was very new age contemporary. The beds were so comfortable. The hotel service is out of this world. Whatever / Whenever is a wonderful concept I wish more hotels would embrace. I regret not taking advantage of the gym, it looked clean and organized and the equipment looked new. The valet service men were polite, well groomed and professional, one of them even cleaned out the trash in my car! When we got out of the car, someone opened my door and asked how I was doing. When we first got there, they got all the luggage out of the trunk, took it to my room and they did open the door for me. The nightlife in the hotel was awesome, we didn’t even need to go to a club somewhere else, I felt like everything I needed was in the hotel including Top Chef’s Head Judge, Tom Collichio’s four star restaurant! Excellent food, great service. I can’t imagine what could have made this experience better!! GO HERE!

our Anniversary stay at the W

For an upscale hotel, was not impressed. You enter through what looks like a side door from valet, no one there to open the door, while carrying your own bags. I told the desk clerk that we had paid for the "Spectacular" view and it was our 20th anniversary, with that said, we rec’d the lowest possible floor for that view, which was 9th. Walked in the room to the bathroom. This is the most disturbing layout...the bathroom is completely open to the door and the room. Glass shower out in the open, so if someone comes to the door, you get a free show. Also open to the room, you close a curtain for privacy...wondering who thought this up. One sink with little room for toiletries and freestanding, never could find a plug. I paid for two rooms, so was really disappointed. Upon checking out we rec’d a bill. Then they ran through all kinds of random dollar amounts on our card. Had to email many times to get this removed from our debit card. I travel much on business and thought that this was one of the worst hotels for the cost that I have ever stayed.

    Awesome Hotel!

My husband and I stayed at the W hotel for a special occasion when we when to the EAGLES concert right next door at the AA Center. The staff was unbeatable. The room was great. It is a pricy place to stay but all and all we had a great time and would go back. Thanks "W" staff

One of my favorites in Dallas

The hotel is in a great location for restaurants and shopping. It is a very cool place - really nice bar for cocktails - great energy. Rooms are very well appointed - the bed is fantastic - give it a great recommendation.

Great sushi restaurant called Kinichi within walking distance that i highly recommend

    Hip Hotel

We actually had a dirty towel that had not been picked up from our bathroom (it was hidden behind the door) and the concierge gave us free breakfast the next day because of it (which usually costs $19 per person). So they took care of us. It is CRAZY downstairs at night because Ghostbar is one of the newest and coolest hangouts in downtown Dallas. So if lots of people "clubbing" isn’t your style then don’t stay here or just avoid the downstairs lobby at night. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful and even at nighttime your room will be nice and quiet regardless of the craziness downstairs. I love W Hotels so no matter what goes wrong I’m pretty loyal.

    Not impressed -Disappointed Guest

This is the worst 5***** Hotel by far, the bed was most uncomfortable for the price the rooms should have been bigger, there was a sound of a window being open all night, could not sleep because of all the drunks getting off the elevator, dim lights at the elevator, dim lights in the hallway, not a good eclectic move, the comforter that was on the bad had more snaggs that my worst set of sheets I have at home, lastly for two (small bottle of sprits) 36.00 are they crazy, one no where to eat, and lastly the breakfast for two was $75.00 for eggs toast and bacon. No towels after you swim, we waited over 90 min for a towel. Just a nightmare, would not waste the money, The Ghost bar was completely over rated!

Find another Hotel, because the W is not it in Dallas, Complete dissappointment and do not cater to children. Nothin for them to do.

great location if you are going to american airlines center. by far the best location...rooms are nice. tried to bump up to a balcony room and were told none available. room service way way overpriced just like the rest of the services at this place...ghostbar was respectable with decent sercice..here is the kicker. time to check out called for bellman to get our luggage came and got out luggage and gave them our ticket to get our car out of valet parking(way overpriced) went down and checked out. everything fine. went to get our car tipped the dude that took our luggage, tipped the dude that gave us the keys to our car. got in our car and drove away.. an hour later got a call from the W. saying they forgot to put our luggage in the trunk..had to turn around and drive back ( an hour drive). was not happy when i returned. everyone was very apologetic but i didn’t want to hear it..they said they would pay for my gas but that was not what they waisted. time was what they waisted and they cannot pay me back for my waisted time..

    ghostbar worth the trip..
