. Nice pool but the bar service there is terrible. Have stayed in better hotels in the downtown dallas area for half the price. The food and drinks are mediocre and way overpriced.Way overpriced
Rooms are tiny and poorly configured for the price.
. Great hotel.Great Overall Experience
THe service was impeccable and the staff was friendly.
... The guest services staff were all very polite, but could not make up for the huge disappointments elsewhere. Room service is mediocre and charged us for things we did not order twice, and the pool is packed all day and closes way too early. Disgusting. The second had a heavily stained carpet, broken door, and a sheet with bright red blood all over it. The first room we were given had a broken air conditioner, broken chair, and heavily stained sheets. The bathroom itself is only seperated from the main room by a curtain, so you can see and hear everything that goes on in it. Essentially, if anyone is showering or dressing, you cant open your door. The door immediately opens into the bathroom where you have an open shower (no tub), half encased by glass. The rooms (at least the "wonderful" and "spectacular" versions) are small and offer no privacy whatsoever.
While the W Dallas is hip and trendy (as all of them are), the rooms are poor and overpriced...Stay somewhere else.
. I couldnt believe how small the rooms were. Not impressed
The room was nice but for the price Id rather stay some where else where the rooms are larger.
. Cant afford to travel at all frequently, I have to wait years for a trip, yet with all the reported luxury to be had there, I found myself dialing "O" several times a day for things that, for the price, should have already been in place. I am not the consummate traveler by far. There are hidden traps, like fully loaded bar and snack tray, which appear complimentary, but if consumed result in inapparent charges. I was billed twice for my stay resulting in several hundreds of dollars, refunded- but yet inconvenienced.00 for a small pot that tasted terrible. I was told I had a "wish" for a coffee maker and that my coffee would be complimentary, yet it was $9. Yet my main problem was the billing part. The W at Dallas: Turn up the lights and see the charges
I was impressed at first entry-the green glowing lights outside and inside upon entry, we arrived at evening.
. Its a beautiful, immaculate place, with attentive though slightly aloof service. An excellent W
W hotels are fairly predictable (which is why I stay there if I can), and the Dallas Victory property is no different.
I cant imagine what could have made this experience better!! GO HERE!. The nightlife in the hotel was awesome, we didnt even need to go to a club somewhere else, I felt like everything I needed was in the hotel including Top Chefs Head Judge, Tom Collichios four star restaurant! Excellent food, great service. When we first got there, they got all the luggage out of the trunk, took it to my room and they did open the door for me. The valet service men were polite, well groomed and professional, one of them even cleaned out the trash in my car! When we got out of the car, someone opened my door and asked how I was doing. I regret not taking advantage of the gym, it looked clean and organized and the equipment looked new. Whatever / Whenever is a wonderful concept I wish more hotels would embrace. The hotel service is out of this world. The beds were so comfortable. I thought the shower/shower head was very new age contemporary. Which, by the way, is exactly the way we saw it from the pictures. I liked walking into the bathroom, especially when we were coming from the pool. The room was fabulous. So that not just anybody can walk in and gain access. I liked the fact you have to use your room keys to actually use the elevator.Romantic Getaway
I have stayed in the Westin located in TIMES SQUARE but now that I have been to the W, I dont want to stay anywhere else.
. I travel much on business and thought that this was one of the worst hotels for the cost that I have ever stayed. Had to email many times to get this removed from our debit card. Then they ran through all kinds of random dollar amounts on our card. Upon checking out we recd a bill. I paid for two rooms, so was really disappointed. One sink with little room for toiletries and freestanding, never could find a plug.wondering who thought this up... Also open to the room, you close a curtain for privacy. Glass shower out in the open, so if someone comes to the door, you get a free show.the bathroom is completely open to the door and the room... This is the most disturbing layout. Walked in the room to the bathroom. I told the desk clerk that we had paid for the "Spectacular" view and it was our 20th anniversary, with that said, we recd the lowest possible floor for that view, which was 9th. You enter through what looks like a side door from valet, no one there to open the door, while carrying your own bags. Our Anniversary stay at the W
For an upscale hotel, was not impressed.
. except the room is a little bit small.
Almost perfect stay. Excellent services.Very impressed.
. Thanks "W" staff
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
Book far in advance to get the best price. It is a pricy place to stay but all and all we had a great time and would go back. The room was great. The staff was unbeatable.Awesome Hotel!
My husband and I stayed at the W hotel for a special occasion when we when to the EAGLES concert right next door at the AA Center.
Travelers tip on dining
Great sushi restaurant called Kinichi within walking distance that i highly recommend. Rooms are very well appointed - the bed is fantastic - give it a great recommendation. It is a very cool place - really nice bar for cocktails - great energy. One of my favorites in Dallas
The hotel is in a great location for restaurants and shopping.
. I love W Hotels so no matter what goes wrong Im pretty loyal. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful and even at nighttime your room will be nice and quiet regardless of the craziness downstairs. So if lots of people "clubbing" isnt your style then dont stay here or just avoid the downstairs lobby at night. It is CRAZY downstairs at night because Ghostbar is one of the newest and coolest hangouts in downtown Dallas. So they took care of us.Hip Hotel
We actually had a dirty towel that had not been picked up from our bathroom (it was hidden behind the door) and the concierge gave us free breakfast the next day because of it (which usually costs $19 per person).
. The staff is top notch, the rooms are extremely clean, beautiful and comfortable.Superb!
The W is an amazing hotel.
. I just suffer for a lack o vegetarion or vegan options in the menu.Ok just the menu
The hotel is nice and for people who loves nightlife is one of the best spots in Dallas.
. My advise: take advantage of the spa in the hotel.
Travelers tip on recreational activities
There is not a lot to do in the area. Stayed there before and loved it! The staff go out of there way to please you. Excellent bed.Very comfortable
Cant wait to stay again
this place is amazing i had the best time there!! i left so relaxed and satisfied!! no complaints on anything! i mean it!
Travelers tip on nightlife
there is an amazinf club here at the hotel called the ghostbar, just like the one in vegas!! i recommend to go to the club!.
. Nothin for them to do. Just a nightmare, would not waste the money, The Ghost bar was completely over rated!
Find another Hotel, because the W is not it in Dallas, Complete dissappointment and do not cater to children. No towels after you swim, we waited over 90 min for a towel.00 for eggs toast and bacon.00 are they crazy, one no where to eat, and lastly the breakfast for two was $75.Not impressed -Disappointed Guest
This is the worst 5***** Hotel by far, the bed was most uncomfortable for the price the rooms should have been bigger, there was a sound of a window being open all night, could not sleep because of all the drunks getting off the elevator, dim lights at the elevator, dim lights in the hallway, not a good eclectic move, the comforter that was on the bad had more snaggs that my worst set of sheets I have at home, lastly for two (small bottle of sprits) 36.

ghostbar worth the trip.. time was what they waisted and they cannot pay me back for my waisted time.they said they would pay for my gas but that was not what they waisted.. everyone was very apologetic but i didnt want to hear it. was not happy when i returned.had to turn around and drive back ( an hour drive).. saying they forgot to put our luggage in the trunk. an hour later got a call from the W.. got in our car and drove away. went to get our car tipped the dude that took our luggage, tipped the dude that gave us the keys to our car. everything fine. time to check out called for bellman to get our luggage came and got out luggage and gave them our ticket to get our car out of valet parking(way overpriced) went down and checked out.here is the kicker..ghostbar was respectable with decent sercice... room service way way overpriced just like the rest of the services at this place. tried to bump up to a balcony room and were told none available.rooms are nice... by far the best location.Over rated
great location if you are going to american airlines center.
