Great Place to Stay! This was a great hotel, with great staff. It was in walking distance of the UW Medical Center as well as great shopping. The shuttle service was easy to use and the driver was very nice.Rating:5
Extra perks make it worth the stayNice breakfast, free wireless, good location for campus access, various things you can request, like a dvd player, etc. Near a jogging/bike path so running was easy/fun. A bit of an expensive haul from the airport ($50). Not many upscale restaurants in the immediate area.
Travelers tip on diningBig Time Brewery makes their own beers--worth the short walk towards campus. Good pizza too!Rating:5
comfort at reasonable pricenice decore, good location in Seattle UW district. Good full breakfast with lots od choices, included in the room price.Rating:5
Clean, Modern HotelClose to the University of Washington. Enjoyed the hotel, older neighborhoods, and the free parking.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksIt was nice to leave our car in a secure free parking space while we completed our our seven day Inside Passage to Alaska Cruise.Rating:5
Such a nice surprise! My husband and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the university, where we were visiting a friend. Also, it had free parking. We were very impressed with the style of the hotel. Out room looked nice, not cheesy. We had excellent city views. I was worried about getting a King-sized bed because when we paid online it couldnt be guaranteed. When we arrived, not only did we get our King but we also got an upgrade to a suite and there were warm cookies in the lobby. How can you beat that?Rating:5
Neat out of the ordinary hotelSimply great, no worries for some of the strangely poor reviews, service was great, good enough breakfast, nice and fresh out of the ordinary decor style, free parking, free bicycle rentals, close to the UofW campus, walking distance (~20 min) to the University Village, all topped of by affordability given Seattle hotel prices. Would definitely stay again.Rating:5
Location was PERFECT for hospital runs...Beautiful and roomy hotel. Nice having breakfast in the morning before we began our day. Rooms and bathrooms really are spacious!!!!Rating:5
Better than we expected.Because of all the good reviews, my family and I decided to book our stay with Watertown. We have two small children and the a la carte feature was extremely helpful in keeping our little ones happy. We also love the fact that you needed your card key to access the garage and to use the elevators beyond the lobby, which made us feel really safe and secure. For the most part, we saved money with their complimentary breakfast (really good!, high-speed internet, and parking. The location was nice and quiet, but only minutes away from the downtown. We are definitely going to make this our only place to stay from now on. If you go to the University Village Shopping center, only minutes away, theres a QFC grocery store that you can buy microwaveable food, snacks, and drinks to take up to your hotel room if you plan to be on a budget.Rating:5
Beautiful DesignI loved the modern clean design of Watertown. It felt very light and airy, we had a corner room. The breakfast is great and the secured parking is convenient. The location is quiet yet near interesting attractions, more value for your money than downtown.Rating:5
Convenient and comfortableConvenient and comfortable in Univ. of Washington neighborhood, within walking distance of museums, restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, coffee available at all times. Free parking and shuttle service (although destinations are limited, you can go to Seattle Center and catch other public transportation)are a great plus. My first chocie when in Seattle.
Travelers tip on local attractionsTake a stroll around the Univ. of WA campus. Burke Museum has changing exhibits and an interesting collection of American Indian artifacts.Rating:4
Large room near UWMy daughter and I stayed at the Watertown on a recent trip to Seattle to tour the University of Washington. The location of this hotel is great for a UW visit, but I wouldnt stay here for a visit to downtown Seattle, since there are many hotels in the downtown area itself. This is an older hotel but is well maintained. Our room was huge! There was an older style TV and no pay-per-view movie channels, but they do offer an innovative "cart" service in which you can order a rolling cart of movies to be delivered to your room. There are other cart options (spa cart, art cart, etc.) but the carts are only available on a first-come, first-served basis, so order early! The hotel also offers free underground parking and a free breakfast, which included hot items as well as fruit and pastries and was quite decent for a free hotel buffet! It was definitely not the most luxurious hotel Ive stayed at, but it was a good choice for the value and the location near the University.
Travelers tip on diningTheres a great little cafe for lunch just a block or two down the street from the hotel. I cant remember the name but ask at the front desk because they recommended it when we arrived early and our room wasnt ready!Rating:5
Clean, comfortable hotel near UWThe hotel was very clean, smartly furnished and well maintained. Staff was attentive and professional. Excellent attention to detail, down to the salon quality shampoo/conditioner/soap and the alcohol wipes for the telephone and TV remote.Rating:5
Good hotel for this visit; would go back. This was a one night stay for us. Quiet room, even if right next to the elevator. Free parking underneath the hotel a definite draw. Continental breakfast adequate if uninspired (fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, etc.) Small fitness room, but under-used when we were there, so not the size wasnt a problem. Aveda products in the bath a nice touch. Staff not unfriendly, but not out-going either. Would go back.Rating:5
Very satisfied! We were looking for a Hotel close to downtown Seattle but not IN downtown. When I was searching I read the reviews of the Watertown and they were very good. I also liked that they had a free shuttle service to the downtown area! We got there early and our room was ready so we parked our car in the free parking garage that was very secure. Then the shuttle took us downtown. We only had to call to have them pick us up before 9:30 pm. The breakfast had a variety of items and was good. I would recommend this hotel to others. The price was a little more than we wanted to spend but after using the shuttle, it was more than worth it! NO driving or having to find parking!Rating:5
Weekend StayThe hotel is a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The sink and shower didnt drain very well. The parking was full and some cars were double parked. No easy access to restaurants.Rating:5
Very satisfied. Will definitely stay there again.Rating:3
DisappointedDisappointed and wont return. While clean and comfortable, the water pressure in the sink was a ridiculous trickle. We complained, but saw no difference. Maid forgot washcloths one day, shampoo another. Shouldnt have to deal with this.Rating:5
Best Small HotelThis hotel was one of the nicest that I have ever stayed in. In rooms had a very interesting layout which gave the apperance of a large space and it was a convienient layout. The staff was graet. They had a shuttle service which took us everywhere as we did nit have a car.Rating:5
Laid Back Hotel near University.quiet neighborhood, near Washington University and with a shuttle ride to downtown and other places of interest at no extra cost. Nice breakfast buffet complimentary also. Neatness around and in the rooms. Very nice employees.Rating:5
Making this our place to stay while visiting SeattleAwesome hotel and the services where great! This was a mother/daughter weekend for us and friends and we are going to make this an annual trip with the Watertown Hotel as our "home away from home".
Travelers tip on local attractionsWithin walking distance of so much.Rating:5
Great place to stay in the U-DistrictIve stayed at the Watertown before and Ill stay there again. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly, free parking, very comfortable rooms, great location... I just cant say enough good things about this hotel. Its just so comfortable! Tastefully decorated, bikes available to use to see the sites and the cart program... all just icing on the cake.
Travelers tip on local attractionsUW campus is within walking distance. Check out the gallery in the School of Art building. Also very close to "the Ave" where you can find quirky retail shops as well as the single greatest Goodwill I have ever been to. You can catch a cab to see all the famous Seattle sites or the very quick and very easy metro!Rating:5
Great Deal! This hotel was modern and clean. Hotel staff were very helpful and nice. There are many restaurants and coffee houses around the hotel. The breakfast was nice which includes hot items such as eggs and sausages. Its a very short ride to downtown Seattle. My husband and I both like this hotel very much. I would definitely recommend this hotel.Rating:5
very convenient to UW and transit/highways for getting around SeattleHotel makes a significant effort to make guests comfortable. On their website, they made it easy to know the transportation options, and were accommodating as much as possible when we wanted to switch rooms. The breakfast was just OK, but since it was part of an already competitive price for the room, we considered it a bonus.Rating:5
Cool jointUnique hotel, very stlylish. Rooms are very cool and better than the standard hotel fare. Front desk not overly helpful and no where to park when you check in. No bell hop when we were there either although think they are an annoyance so that isnt a negative. Breakfast was excellent.Rating:4
Modern, cute and convenientVery nice, small, comfortable hotel within walking distance of University of WA. Furnishings are modern, yet the place has a warm cozy atmosphere about it. Breakfast is included, however, it is only of average quality. I was expecting something with more fresh foods, better quality breads/rolls judging from my initial impression of the hotel. The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation and suggesting places to eat.
