Wonderful place to stay!We would stay at this inn again in a heartbeat! It was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The complimentary wine tasting and delicious full breakfast were nice add-ons.Rating:5
Great escape in quiet wine countryFree wine tasting when you arrive is a nice beginning, breakfast is supurb when eaten in a deck chair by the poolside! The locale is ideal, far from a busy city, surrounded by vines. It was very quiet and serene the entire time we stayed, and the jacuzzi at night was so relaxing!Rating:5
This will be our hotel of choice for future tripsThe Wine Country Inn was a beautiful hotel sitting in the vinyards. Rooms are larger than most standard hotels of this category. Buffet breakfast was very complete with hot and cold choices. The pool was very large and it was so nice to be outdoors with such a great view of the Book Cliffs and the Grand Mesa. This was a very quiet relaxing hotel.
Travelers tip on recreational activitiesStop at the Visitors Center in Fruita for all of the wonderful information about the Grand Valley area and Colorado in general. Grand Junction is full of hidden natural beauty, via short or long hikes, biking, and off-roading.Rating:5
Wonderful place!Have already recommended this Inn to friends. The hotel was extremely clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to making another trip and staying at the Inn again.Rating:5
Highly recommendedWe have been visiting Grand Junction each summer for 25 years and have stayed at a number of hotels there. This one is, by far, the best. And the rate we got on Expedia was excellent. The hotel is new, comfortable, all non-smoking and had outstanding service. We enjoyed the wine tasting after we arrived and the breakfast the next morning. Palisades peach orchards and wineries are all nearby.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayStop at McLeans Farm a few blocks south of the inn for fresh peaches in season. We picked up a couple of boxes of peaches that had been picked that morning, and they made the trip to Phoenix in great shape. Palisade peaches are the best - we even found them in the food hall at the swank Harrods department store in London years ago.Rating:5
Wine tastingThe wine tasting was a very nice touch and the local wine is excellent.Rating:5
Dont miss a chance to stay here!!!My wife and I visited this hotel for our anniversary. The stay couldnt have been better. Excellent views, excellent room, great pool, perfect vineyards, and an amazing breakfast. Make sure to bring your camera as the hotel grounds are spectacular. We lived in GJ for years, but never spent time in Palisade until this trip. It was wonderful. We didnt get a chance to try the wine, I wish I had known through Expedia what time the wine tasting was.Rating:5
AWESOME!Very clean and good price! Will definetly go back! Bed very comfortable! Very friendly staff! Good breakfast! Cant say enough it was wonderful!Rating:5
Great hotel! This was a wonderful place to stay- great backdrop, free breakfast, free wine tasting, great rooms, beautiful pool.Rating:5
2nd visit .. just as impressed as the 1st visit. This is a very comfortable place to stay. All the staff are friendly & courteous. It is interesting to look at all the old photos they have displayed. We had our 2 granddaughters with us this visit & they loved it.Rating:4
Good stuffA cute place very accessible from I-70 and close to downtown Palisade. From the outside it looks like a chain but its a family-owned operation and well done. You are smack in the middle of two vineyards which is really nice except when they are spraying pesticides--be wary of this. Wine tour by bike highly recommended. Overall great spacious rooms, full breakfast, nice hot tub and a good price. Other options in the area are mostly B&Bs so if you want the hotel route, this was a good bet.Rating:5
Fantastic B&BWonderful location nearby wineries, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and very good. The pool area was immaculate. Would definitely stay there again. Great place!
Travelers tip on recreational activitiesDefinitely go to Colorado National Monument it is well worth the time and energy. Beautiful scenery!Rating:5
Would stay there againThe Wine Country Inn is a very nice, new hotel on the western slope. They provide an amazing buffet breakfast and a wine tasting every afternoon. Our room was on the back side overlooking the vineyards and the Grand Canal which was nice because the hotel is not far off the highway and there is some highway noise at the hotel.
Travelers tip on diningTry The Rose Cafe in downtown Palisades. The owners are from Denver and the restaurant specializes in upscale Italian/Asian cuisine at affordable prices.Rating:5
Id go back in a heartbeat! This hotel was more than we had expected. It was beautiful, clean, and a very wonderful place to stay. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and luxurious. The breakfast they offered was great food and the setting was very nice. They do offer a nice patio setting to enjoy the evenings with their wine and other beverages. The hotel is located on a winery which is a beautiful setting. Go and check it out. We will certainly go back.Rating:5
A great place to stay! The breakfast buffet was very good. Everyone was really friendly.Rating:4
Nice place to stay.Nice, clean place to stay. I like the comfy beds. There are quite a few wineries within walking distance. The views surrounding the motel are beautiful.Rating:5
Wonderful alternative to the Grand Junction - Horizon DriveI vacation yearly for a week of hiking in Utah arriving in Grand Junction, CO (Walker Airfield) and heading out from there. Upon return we frequent Palisade (about 15 minutes from Grand Junction) and tour Colorados excellent wineries. Last year we noticed a building being constructed right in the middle of one of the vineyards. It turned out to be the Wine Country Inn. We booked our stay there looking only at the hotels website. The price was lower then the hotel chains found on Horizon Drive in Grand Junction. What a smart decision. The hotel is just beautiful designed like a farmhouse with detail to allow it to blend in with the surrounding town. The owners designed their facility after the type of hotels found in Sonoma. They purposefully did not put in a restaurant so that they could send people to the nearby eateries in Palisade. This is wonderful as there are no franchise chains, just local independents with a great variety of menu choices. The hotel did provide late afternoon wine tasting and a hot buffet style breakfast in the morning. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is also superbly handicap accessible. The attention to detail is truly amazing and I consider my stay at this hotel one of the best I ever had, comparable to many highly rated east coast hotels that simply are all name and not game and certainly better then the hotels located in G.J. This place is superb and should help boost Palisade, one of Colorados best kept secrets!
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayGet away from Grand Junction, CO. Stay at the Wine Country Inn, Palisade, CORating:5
A vacation in itselfIf I could have given it six stars I would have. I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years. This is the only one that I have stayed at that I would return to as a vacation in itself. Clean, comfortable and QUIET rooms, wonderful staff, great atmosphere, delicious food and drink. I personally met with the owner and gave him the well deserved pat on the back that he earned. Bravo!Rating:5
Cant wait to go backAwesome views!!! The room was so clean and pretty. We cant wait to go back again for the wine tasting that they offerRating:5
Great hotel! We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. In the afternoon we enjoyed sitting on the veranda sipping our complimentary wine. The free breakfast was fabulous and they constantly restocked items. Everything is nice & new. The room was attractive with a very comfortable bed. The vineyards completely surround the hotel & you can walk right down the road to wine tastings. We will be back!Rating:5
Great StopDoesnt look like much from the outside, but inside is beautiful, comfortable, and clean.Rating:5
Luxury at a Value PriceWe will definitely plan on a return stay. From the quality of the rooms, a friendly accomodating staff and fine breakfast we were totally satisfied.Rating:5
AdorableNicely remodeled, with full amenities. Breakfast was delicious. Only regret we couldnt stay longer. Price drop made it the best choice in the area.Rating:5
Great PlaceWe stayed only one night, but the place surpassed our expectations by far for the price.
Travelers tip on diningIf you like beer, check out the local brewery Palisade Brewery. Good food and good beer!Rating:5
Excellent Getaway in Wine CountryWhat a great hotel - beautiful views of a surrounding vineyard. Granted the hotel is new, but the rooms were great as well as the staff and surroundings. Id recommend this to anyone traveling through Colo Wine Country or just passing through.
Travelers tip on local attractionsMake sure to hit all the wineries along the way! Plum Creek was by far our favorite.
