Travelers tip on local attractions This hotel is right down the road from Medieval Times, which is the main reason we stayed here the first time. Overall it is a nice hotel and we’ll probably stay there a third time next time we head toward Chicago. It does end at 9:30 though, and we like to sleep in so we’d go toward the end and sometimes it would be pretty picked over. The complimentary breakfast is nothing too fancy but has some hot food like waffles, eggs and sausage, and some pastries, yougurt, and juices. The air conditioner was kind of loud in our room if it was on high, but low was good enough to keep the room comfortable. We had a fridge and microwave that we used often. The rooms are nice and big (we had a single king room), including the bathrooms. The rooms and lobby are clean.We’ve stayed there twice This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Wingate and have been pleased both times.

Travelers tip on local attractions Ikea. Definitely got our monies worth and would highly recommend. The breakfast was also plentiful.Worth every penny! Not only was it beautiful inside and the room bigger than expected, they had a "happy hour" from 5:00 - 6:30 with wine, beer and apetizers.

We would certainly stay there again and would mention this to other friends of ours. Their breakfast was very good also. The staff were extremely helpful in any thing that we had asked. I would definitely stay here again!. But this turned out to be an excellent hotel with great service and a very good free breakfast.Great Hotel For the price I was skeptical on the quality before the trip.

I came back down and he had printed Google Maps directions and the schedule for the train! Something so simple, but yet so usefull!! Great Service all the way around!. The clerk advised that I get settled in the room and to check back in ten minutes. So I thought I would take the train, but I was not sure where the station was. I wanted to elxplore downtown Chicago, but didn’t want to drive. I arrived early and they got me into a room without any problems.Going that extra bit for the guests!! Out of the way service.

. We didn’t hear our next door neighbors at all, but we could hear the upstairs occupant whenever he/she walked around the room. The only complaint we had was the sound of footsteps overhead. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable.Good Quality for the Price We especially enjoyed the excellent breakfast at this hotel.

. Lastly, the hotel is not really in Schaumburg, but Hoffman Estates which is about 3 miles from Woodfield and all the shopping. Also, the breakfast area needs to be quite a bit bigger to accomodate the number of people. Almost everything was thawed out after being frozen and not much was fresh. The free continental breakfast was disappointing. I can’t think of another hotel I have stayed at in the last five years that did not have a pool. Another issue was that the hotel does not have a pool. The door to go up the stairs was constantly stuck and you had to either push very hard or kick the door to get it open.Decent place to stay Hotel was nice, but there were a few things that were disappointing.

. My wifes favorite place to shop. Travelers tip on shopping The hotel is close to the Woodfield Mall and Ikea. Other than that everything was fine just your average hotel. In the future I would make sure it was a non-smoking room if you do not smoke. We did not spend much time in the room so we did not ask to switch since we were only spending one night. Neither of us smoke. Our room however smell like cigarette smoke that hit my wife and I like a freight train when we walked in.It was average The hotel for the most part was clean.

. Poor choice for a business traveler. While in the Schaumburg, IL mailing area, it is really in Hoffman Estates (so don’t look for a quick drive to Schaumburg). The internet service was unreliable. The free breakfast was poor (think dry pastries and it’s like you are there).) The hotel was in need of repair. (Do not disturb sign on your door - they’ll ignore it.Won’t stay here again The hotel staff was rude at all times.

. The hotel had a discounted rate agreement with a local cab company, to and from the airport, and the shuttle would take you to local shopping and dining at no charge! Fridge and microwave make extended stays more conveiniant.4 star hotel with 5 star service! The staff was so helpful you could mistake them for family.

. Staff is helpful, breakfast offered a variety of choices. It is conveniently located near the Schaumburg Conference Center with plenty of restaurant choices nearby for those with a car.We’ll Be Back This is our 2nd visit to the hotel.
